Good Mexican on State St - Near Shopping

Best tortilla soup I have had in a long time! The cup was more bowl sized and was all I really needed for lunch. The salsa is also excellent. The tortilla chips were a little heavy and greasy though. The guacamole was decent and the garlic shrimp appetizer was fabulous - just the right amount... read more

The facility is great with all of the Jeff Shelton features, however.: Service was there, nothing special. Margaritas better at Playa Azul and Carlitos. Tortilla's seemed to be torched by the microwave. Food was warm at the best. Carnitas were tasty. Seems to lack in atmosphere. So much possibility but seems like an El Torito that didn't make it. Doesn't... More

We were one of the first tables for lunch outside, but it took a long time to get our order and our food, which was mediocre at best. Then, we accidentally left our credit card on the table and after two weeks they still have not given it back to us. We think they lost it or something worse. Really... More

Hello Michael, We apologize the service was not up to par and we definitely will be speaking with the staff. In regards to your credit card we did mail this to you and explained that if it were to get lost on its travels we cannot be held responsible. According to an email between you and the GM of the... Pretty solid overall for Mexican and bar type food. Certainly not fine dining, but everything tasted good and was prepared well. Good drink selection as well.

Central location on State Street in main part of town. Spicy Blood Orange Margaritas were excellent ! Food quality was very good, as was the service. Diverse menu with array of good choices, kids menu, so family friendly.

We walked in on a Friday evening without a reservation and thought we stood no chance of eating at Casa Blanca. The hostess was so nice and rearranged things so we could eat in one of the outside eating areas. The restaurant was packed but our server was attentive and showed tremendous grace under fire. Although busy, she made time... More

We are local and came here on a groupon, on a Saturday eve. The hostess quickly seated us at a lovely table with a heater on the patio. All of the decorative lights, while looking out at State St. made for a very nice atmosphere. Our waiter, Shawn, came by quickly to take our drink order and since I hadn't... More

The couple of blocks of State and Chapala Streets just north of the freeway have recently come alive and Casa Blanca, with its interesting conversion from warehouse to colorful restaurant with interior tiled walls, is a part of that evolution. Unfortunately, although the decor is charming, the food did not live up to the decor. Mexican food works when ingredients... More

NIce ambience. I sat outside for happy hour/a light dinner with a friend and the mood, from the music to the lighting, was great. Servers were friendly, the food was decent, and the margaritas were strong. Near the beach/Stearns Wharf, and right at the bottom of State St
