Brussel sprouts TO DIE FOR!!!!!!

My hotel referred us. So happy we went. Great cozy fish place. Loved the salad and brussel sprouts I'd go back to Santa Barbara just to have them! I live in LA. Bit of a distance. The fish entree was lovely and Arnold Palmers refreshing and very freshly homemade. I couldn't drink that night but the... read more

I liked many things about this restaurant. Good bar space, tasty menu (at least what I had) and a truly California casual feel. BUT, our waiter ruined our experience. He was unhelpful, rude, and clearly did not like serving us. When he threw our appetizer plates down in front of us we asked the manager to give us a new... More

For a restaurant famed among the foodie crowd, The Hungry Cat is surprisingly funky and down-to-earth. The fish is super-fresh, prepared with surprising ingredients and served up in delicious combinations. The monkfish comes with crispy brussel sprouts, and the menu offers a nice choice of textures and sides. I'm not a raw oyster fan, but my table companions swore by... More

After you have eaten your $30+ entrees and receive your bill at the bottom there will be a 3% surcharge. This is called "Health LA". The restaurant is charging you- the PATRON an extra fee so that they can provide healthcare to their employees. While Im all for everyone having health care I think its a really cheap trick for... Delicious original menu. We had the scallops and short ribs and both were delicious. Beautifully prepared, fresh ingredients, and flavorful. Really enjoyed our dinner here.

If you are in the vicinity of Santa Monica, you have to try this restaurant. Simply superb fresh food! This place is a seafood, rawbar and cocktails restaurant. Nice friendly atmosphere with great service. If you like spicy drinks: try the margarita drink done with hot peppers; forgot the name :0( ! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals (see... More

Wonderful seafood selections. If you don't care for seafood your choices are very limited. Specialty drinks were tastey, but pricey, too.

While on vacation, we were just up the Road from this restaurant, which was recommended by one of the managers of our B & B (The Channel Road Inn) and liked it so much we went back a second time after a disappointing happy hour elsewhere. The seafood and fish are very fresh and served in ways that allow the... More

This restaurant puts together some interesting ingredients. You would think that it wouldn't work, but trust. It does work. I had the swordfish. It was placed on top of a sauce, farro, herbs. It was finished off with Greek yogurt and a spicy, herb salsa. Boy, did it work.! Go early because it gets really crowded and it's pretty noisy.
