We wandered into this place accidentally. Immediately on walking in, we noticed that every patron was British. Some kind of Rugby or other non-American sport was on the TV. On the wall was a sign denoting that the small fish and chips shop had been featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives on the food network. The staff was British.... More

Just like the Brits, this is real cod with whole battered filets. Great! The chips are exactly what they should be - - chips of deep fried potatoes. Made our day! Worth the wait, even though a bit pricey. Excellent quality.

This is legitimate - good fish and chips like you would experience pub food in England. It is more of a lunch - somewhat fast food atmosphere but the food is good.

I first went ot Mac's sometime in August and was pleased with the perfectly cooked chips and crisp lightly fried fish. Thus as a treat I took my wife there in early October, and what a change! The tables were dirty and sticky. The fish and chips were fried in old oil and the chips so well cooked to be... More

We don't usually eat in Chip Shops when we travel, but we just wandered in and was pleasantly surprised. The owner was chatty and we discussed where he was from etc. Food was good.

Good, authentic fish and chips. They'll even fix you some bangers and mash if you're up to it. Small, crowded, and a lot of fun.

If you are a DDD fan, you will recognize this place. It is located on the main drag of Santa Barbara walking distance from Stern's Wharf. It is a small place with limited seating. You have your choice of small, regular or large fish with the options to add chips and a side. I had the regular with chips and... More

I made the mistake of ordering a regular portion of fish band chips, I should have asked for small. Far too much food, the fish was excellent, the chips a bit overdone. Mushy peas were just that. Tomato sauce, salt and vinegar. Really enjoyed it. The shop itself needs a bit of tlc. It was quite busy with a mixture... More

We read about this place and saw that it was on DDD with Guy Fieri, so, we figured it had to be good. We both ordered the regular size fish and chips. It is a good sized fish fillet, tasted fresh and the batter was good. Unfortunately, it was a bit greasy and it was resting on the chips, which... More
