We read about this place and saw that it was on DDD with Guy Fieri, so, we figured it had to be good. We both ordered the regular size fish and chips. It is a good sized fish fillet, tasted fresh and the batter was good. Unfortunately, it was a bit greasy and it was resting on the chips, which... More

We found this place through the Food Network app. The restaurant has appeared on Diners, Drive-ind and Dives. Whilst we are Australian, I was born in the UK and have some very fond memories of most of the items on the menu. We shared a serve of Toad in the Hole which is a giant yorkshire pudding filled with mashed... More

This was my first time in Santa Barbara, and I pleased to discover this little gem on State St. The group I was with picked it on a whim, but it was well worth it. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual. The food was fast and delicious and very reasonably priced. They also had a good number of drink options,... More

Stopped in for lunch today. I thought the fish was very good and the portion was a good size. It tasted fresh and the batter they used was tasty. The fries were okay but nothing spectacular. The cole slaw had no taste whatsoever.

We stopped in here for the British experience. The food was okay. Their claim to be traditional, just like you'd get in Britain may depend on what part of Britain you are visiting. I just returned from a visit to the London area and the food, by comparison, was lacking. Flavor was good but it was not done in the... More

This is a tiny little spot in the middle of all the shops on the main street. Only has 4 - 5 tables. You order at the counter and your fish and chips is brought to your table crisp and piping hot. It was absolutely delicious! Yum!

Not an upscale place by any stretch of the word.. Definitely a low key flip flops kind of joint, but great none the less. The fish was flaky and moist and the batter was crispy and the perfect amount of done. The fries were great.. And they have HP sauce.. Bonus!! A great spot for dinner and a brew (albeit... More

Stopped in yesterday for lunch ordered the Whale and a cup of clam chowder. Our clam chowder came out first Which consisted of a thin base chowder not many clams and flavor ok but not over the top as I hoped. Then our fish was delivered to us and boy howdy it was huge and hot so focused on our... More

We loved the fish, it was fantastically crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside. I ordered the small which was a nice sized piece of fish. The chips were okay--they do not seem authentic (I've only had f&c in England once). They are kind of thick and they don't take the skins off. Mine needed lots of salt.... More

We visited here what on holiday from the UK and can say the Fish and Chips were rubbish. The fish was just ok and the chips were dark brown and over cooked, they tasted really bitter and were only just edible after loads of vinegar ! We were disappointed as we were looking forward to them! This is not how... More
