We have eaten at Saigon many times and it has always been good. My daughter was visiting recently and we had a disappointing dinner. All dishes were poor, pho and its broth, bun.... The waitress explained that there was a new chef. Well...... We will try once more and hope it will be better.

There is nothing superb at this Vietnamese Restaurant on State Street. Food is ok, a little above average, ambiance and service, the same. You can get better Vietnamese in NYC. We ordered the spring rolls and the roasted pork with rice. The rolls were crisp, but the filling was bland. The pork dish was very good, but was very skimpy... More

Interesting, delicious, restaurant, I typically enjoy their soups but have learned about their Fish and pork dishes which are equally great. They offer a whole fish boned either steamed or char grilled.that is simply amazing.... Curries are fantastic too

Having lived in Paris as a student, I had eaten a lot of Vietnamese food, and missed it in Santa Barbara. So when Saigon opened on Milpas, we became regulars. Still find it convenient when we are downtown or at Five Points. The pho are good eaten in the restaurant, but don't travel we'll. whereas spring rolls, papaya salad, and... More

I love the pho soup and the cold rice noodle dish (can't remember the name). Decent prices but you get more food for your money at the Milpas location.

It's called Saigon In & Out, and after eating there several times, I'd rather be out than in. The Vietnamese food is just okay. Perhaps they have Americanized this exotic cuisine to satisfy a larger audience. Note that the portions are skimpy, so you'll have to order more dishes...which hurts the restaurant from a value point of view. Pleasant people,... More

Usually, I avoid restaurants with pictures of the food on the menu but having been taken to this restaurant in the center of Santa Barbara by locals, I agreed. Far from a fast food restaurant, this place serves a variety of southeast asian specialties and in a group of 12 everyone exclaimed their happiness with the food. All the plates... More
