Very nice restaurant, delicious food and nice wines. We really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. Also the staff was really friendly.

At last we have really good Ethiopian food in Santa Barbara, and at a very reasonable price too. Petit Valentien is one of my favorite boutique restaurants on SB. But on the weekends (only) at lunch, they serve Ethiopian food, and it is really good. Served with the traditional bread (injera), a variety of vegetarian (6 options) and non-vegetarian (one... More

We went for a romantic dinner, and we certainly made right choice. The place is a little dark, is small and warm. The service spotless, perfect. The only served a 4 meal menu the night we went for dinner. And it ended up being an excellent decision. At $25 the price was right, and we got a lot for the... More

Beautiful food a bit dark inside for younger people but just worth it for the cooking skills! Delicate flavours and interesting combinations !

Delicious French food at reasonable prices. Lovely Bistro setting. My wife's steak sandwich special was delicious while I had a fillet of fish cooked perfectly. Wine specials were reasonbly price. Restaurant set in a lovely pedestrian walkway. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful sauces with a European flair. Best Duck confit I have had in years! It was wonderful. Fantastic value. I didn't love the wine list - but it did not detract terribly from a wonderful dining experience.

We had dinner at Petit Valentien tonight and it was wonderful. The place is well appointed, you can eat outside int he La Arcada walkway. The food was first rate and the service was wonderful. I have been going here for many years and the food is always good and it seems to be getting better lately. Service is always... More

Last night a group of 6 locals dined at this former favorite. The service was rude and slow. In fact to say there was "service" at all is a gross overstatement. The food very mediocre. After being asked if the owner was on site we were told he was 65 and mostly retired. What a shame. It was a good... More

We arrived five minutes before the kitchen closed, hoping - but not really expecting - that we'll be served fresh food. What a pleasant surprise! The service was prompt and courteous, and the food was first class. We can heartily recommend the mushroom crostini and the green salad for starters, the ahi tuna for the main course and the flour-less... More

Petit Valentien is a hidden gem in Santa Barbara. It is always a wonderful place for a romantic dinner. The wine list is quite nice for a small restaurant, and the restaurant has some arrangements with local wineries to get some real gems on the list. The food is always wonderful, and properly prepared. Especially fun is "sunday supper" where... More
