I came here for dinner on a friday night. Place was packed and the atmosphere was great. It is a combo of a bar and a restaurant, there is loud music and it has some tv screens. Even though it has the atmosphere of a cantine the food is really, really good. We started of with the chicken tenders and... More

We didn't know where to go in Santa Barbara,we chose Sandbar because from outside it looked inviting and relaxed. As soon as we were seated, they brought us complimentary freshly baked nachos. We took very long to decide with meals but our server remained patient and polite for the whole time. I ended up getting Jalisco Shrimp Quesadillas, and omg...I... More

We had lunch here. We wanted to go to Cadiz (just across the street) but that one was still closed, so we ended up here by accident. We had some salads, nachos, burgers and the house tortilla chips and everyhting was nice and fresh. THe burgers come from a real grill, which really makes them very tasty and still juicy.... More

To come away from a meal half an hour ago and already feel the need to share a review says a lot about this place. The venue is cool, the waiting staff are great, the cocktails are huge and the food was excellent. We both had the special burritos and they were delicious. Highly worth a visit if staying in... We previously stopped here in the afternoon and had drinks - beers (buy one get one for 25c!) and cocktails (Margarita was amazing and so was the Sangria). We really liked the place so booked a table for that evening. When we came back the place was really lively and a great atmosphere. Drinks and food were very good. We... More

We had a great dinner here. The food was fresh and we sat on high table with fire ornaments in the middle! It was fairly cheap and great service. Thanks

We didn't eat here but stopped by in the afternoon for drinks, chips and salsa. Skinny margaritas can sometimes be very tart but the Sandbar made a great one as were the regular margaritas. They served us numerous baskets of chips that were very fresh, warm and sprinkled with their special seasoning that was excellent. The salsa was very good... More

Was looking forward to a night here for drinks and dinner, but what a let down! Firstly, Monday night is advertised as "international night" with happy hour, and us being Irish....we went straight there! But talk about false advertising-turns out this is for locals and students. When we told the bar maid we were students from Ireland she scowled at... More

Everything was great about this place, especially the food and atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is large, as are the food portions!

The food, atmosphere and drinks were great at the Sandbar. It was a fun place to hang out and have drinks. It was easy to sit outside and people watch. The food was delicious. I had the fish tacos which were great. My hubby had fish fajitas which were spectacular! I would go again!!!!
