What an elegant setting outside with such a beautiful view. The food was elegantly prepared and presented. The steak Diane was pricey but so worth it, flame prepared tableside. Great wine list. Service was professional and friendly. Go for a special occasion and be prepared for the price but we were not disappointed.

This was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever gone to. The grounds all like an English garden. Lots of photo ops. Very elegant on the terrace. Wait staff was excellent, food was to die for, a little expensive, but a wonderful fine dining experience. It is once in a lifetime fun!

We dined outdoors and the food was very well prepared -- duck for me, pork chop for my husband. Starter of gazpacho with lobster and crab was perfect. Portions were large for us but we're not the biggest eaters. Duck and pork cooked just right. Nice wine list.

After visiting the nearby Lotusland gardens, a friend and I had lunch at the restaurant of the San Ysidro Ranch hotel. Service, food and ambience were top-notch. I had the roasted chestnut soup appetizer and halibut with asparagus entree, both of which were wonderful as was the olive bread. Lemon tart dessert good but not outstanding-- kind of runny. I... Tonight we dined in this restaurant that we had been told about. It really has to be up there with the very best in the world. They have just received an award from Spectator wine magazine. Their list was long and varied. We both had fish as mains and my chocolate soufflé was the very best I have ever had.... More

My husband and I ate here on a Monday night and had an amazing experience. Our waitress was wonderful as well as the rest of the staff. We sat on the Terrace overlooking the San Ysidro Ranch and ate/drank a truly superb meal. The food quality and atmosphere make this restaurant a must when visiting the area. I highly recommend... FABULOUS atmosphere - surrounded by twinkle lights and very dark - tables are lit with gas lamps. Food was very farm-to-table featuring produce grown on the property. The Blood Orange Margaritas were OUTSTANDING. We loved the scallops, abalone, duck spring rolls, & Hamachi appetizers. For entrees our favorites were the venison with mole and the pasta carbonara. For dessert, the... More

If you love all things Santa Barbara – great food, world class wine, wonderful climate, and spectacular views – then at some point you’ll be drawn to the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. It would be hard to find a more beautiful spot. Precisely manicured gardens, some providing fresh produce for the hotel’s restaurants, lush fruit trees (the SYR used... More

We loved the beautifully prepared, delicious food from a bygone age. We did not phase them when we asked for a pasta not on the menu We did not like the suffocatingly effusive service
