I don't know how I got talked into coming here again. Its not even an average place. Came here before and wasn't happy my first visit, but I decided to try it again for a happy hour/ retirement party, and we sat in the cantina. The prices for happy hour were pretty good.. .but you have to hunt down the... More

This restaurant was recommended to by a colleague and I was not disappointed. The food was very good and reasonably priced, with serving sizes being ample. An added bonus was the freshly made corn tortillas.

Delicious. Perfect dinner. My Mayan Treasure burrito was excellent!! My wife's Baja Bowl with grilled Mahi was also very good.

One of my favorite places to dine. The bar has several TVs to catch the game. Tortillas are made fresh on location. My favorite was the carne asada tacos. Now that I have been watching what I eat, I order off of their 'Light' menu. Their chicken enchilada's are awesome! Love their salsa too! Expect to spend $10-15 for lunch.

What a cool place, and how pretty inside. It is an old church. The food was delicious! Everything had such a great flavor. Gosh I hope I can go back someday and wish it was just down the street from me!!!! My cost per person might be off, as I didn't have to pay! It was casual though but very... More

Anyone who works in the area knows how great Avila's is. The food is great and service is fast for lunch as they cater to the locals who are working and out for lunch. They make homemade tortillas which are awesome. There is so much on the menu that everyone can find something they would enjoy. Try the chicken tortilla... More

It is a few blocks off the highways, so you do not get the usual drive-by crowd. We had steak and chicken fajitas and the chicken asteca sald. It was all very good with the exception of the chicken being -s chicken can be – dry. Good flavors, good atmosphere (better than a in-and-out Mexican place), good service, good beer... More

We went for a birthday lunch and arrived at 11:30 to avoid some of the lunch rush. It didn't matter. Our waiter was rude, rushed us to the point he wrote down wrong orders, and the service still took 2 hours. This place was no bueno for us, as we filled up on chips and salsa for a just ok,... More

We enjoyed the food and the entertainment on the Friday night that we visited El Ranchito. Our waitress was very helpful, attentive, and accommodating. The mariachi band was great. My only suggestion is for the restaurant to use less salt in their recipes, expecially the rice and beans. I am not able to eat much salt due to health issues.... More

Our nonprofit had a function at Avila's El Ranchito Restaurant at the Santa Ana location on First Street. It was wonderful. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and so we had to do no decorations ourselves. There was tons of parking, so the attendees had no difficulty with that issue. The dinner was buffet, so we didn't have to worry... More
