Gourmet meal by students

Warning: Reservations are a must in this little cafe run by culinary students. Specifically, reserve a table DURING the school term, as this is a culinary school. Did I mention this is a little cafe, so the tables do fill up fast?? The entire restaurant is run by the culinary students, so be... read more

Having heard good things about this place, I have wanted to eat there since it opened. Along with 3 friends, I finally had the opportunity and unfortunately think we hit an off night. We all agreed that there were moments of excellence & brilliance. The heirloom appetizer being the best and most gorgeous I have ever eaten. My steak was... More

My best friend took me here for a late birthday gift. The food was delicious , the service outstanding and the presentation of the dishes were excellent. I agree with other comments that it was hard deciding on what dish to order. This is a must try restaurant. Great shopping in the surrounding area. NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS.

SO SO very disappointed in this place. Bought a Groupon at the beginning of May 2013 for a prix fixe meal for 4 people, it expires at the end of August 2013. So.....in July I called to make reservations for a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g available in the next month. Booked up, they said. Booked up for the next 2 1/2 months, with NO... More

A meal at 5ifty Forks is an event! As might be expected at a culinary school, the food is innovative and delicious and exquisitely presented. Sit at a table near the glass wall with a view into the kitchen, if you can snag it, and see where they make the magic. The only problem is deciding which dish to order!

The excellent service, beautifully plated exquisitely delicious food, and the San Francisco style atmosphere won us over completely. For a gourmet restaurant, the portions were generous. The seafood was prepared perfectly, the vegetables unusually sweet and glazed and the chocolate caramel tart with malted chocolate ice cream was perhaps the best dessert I have ever eaten -- yum! My spouse's... More

I went to 50 Forks for lunch with a group of co-workers. I had the blackened chicken entree and it was very tasty, and my co-workers each enjoyed their meals, as well. The service and staff were exceptional and I would highly recommend this place for excellent gourmet food at a reasonable price.

Quite simply awesome! My hat goes off to Chef Colleen Johnson! The Rosemary pork was so moist and the potatoes were so creamy! I also loved their salad it stemmed like it was brought right in from the back garden. I will go back next week for sure but sit inside !

We discovered this place while searching for a restaurant on restaurant.com. I would highly recommend purchasing a certificate from them, as it takes 25.00 off and makes you feel more inclined to try a bunch, rather than just one, of the amazing appetizers! Once we put in our order, our server (Chelsea? Stephanie? Sorry, I teach and as of Monday... More

Grilled Asparagus served with tomato confit, rosemary, and Dijon mustard. The asparagus was marinated in balsamic vinegar. It was grilled to perfection and slightly crisp and quite flavorful. The locally grown grape tomatoes were presented with skins removed and sun-kissed fresh from the farm. Presentation was beautiful as well. Thumbs up, way up! Filet of Beef Carpaccio served with capers,... More
