Sticky Toffee Pudding

My husband and I spent the past few days traveling between LA, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, finally spending a night with family before we headed back home to NC. I checked TripAdvisor and found this place and since my husband is English we decided to give it a try. When we walked in my husband... read more

I must admit that, even though we don't get to The Olde Ship in Santa Ana, CA as often as we'd like, it is my favourite place to go. It has the true feel of a British Pub - which is such a great and comfortable place to be. I had my favourite, "Scottish Bridie" tonight (along with a half... More

Fish and chips were pretty good but at $17 a head and $18 for two pints (1 cider and 1 Guinness) this place is a ripoff. I had probably the most expensive pint of Guinness anywhere and its freakin' Santa Ana not the Beverley Wilshire. Fish and chips and a pint for 2 $64 including tip. Service was very pleasant... We got here around 7 pm. There was a little bit of a wait to get seated but not terrible. After getting seated, however, it took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink/appetizer order. Another 20 minutes for someone to take our food order. There were exactly 2 waitresses working the entire place, which is not really sufficient for... More

Looks just like a country pub like I grew up with, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and they even brought out a sticky toffee pudding on the house, which got me in trouble with my American wife because she loved it and said I should've introduced her to it when she first visited me... Being lovers of good UK pub cuisine, we wanted to try The Olde Ship. This was a dreadful mistake and I am still in shock that I spent $90 on the experience. The host(/bartender) sat us after someone who came in before us, which started off the adventure. Then, after sitting for 15 minutes with our menus, a server came... More

The Olde Ship was a decent facsimile of a proper British pub. The beer selection was full of British ales, the fish and chips was standard with a generous filet of haddock, and the atmosphere resembled the look we're accustomed to in England. If you want a British pub in Santa Ana, this'll do in a pinch.

The Olde Ship has lots of interesting ship decore, and the genuine feel of an English pub. They really went the extra mile on creating a great atmosphere. The wait staff is very friendly, and the food is top notch (and very reasonably priced). Of particular note are the bands they have on Friday nights. There is no cover charge,... More

My date and I chose this restaurant for a lunch as we were ready to feel "English". The restaurant has great items which certainly make you feel that you are in "Jolly 'ol". As we were there for lunch, we decided to forego having a beer, but what they showed on the menu certainly makes me want to return. I... More
