Hidden little gem of a tapas restaurant in downtown Santa Ana. The reviews were so good that a friend and I wanted to try it since we were in the general area. It took a lot longer to drive there than we thought though but it was worth it. We were greeted at the outside patio door by a very... More

Met a friend for dinner/drinks on a Thursday night. It wasn't crowded and we were seated at the bar. The atmosphere in here is great, and the staff are super friendly. The menu has fun flavors and combinations. We really enjoyed our mussels, braised kale and fish tacos! Will definitely come back here again. When the weather warms up their... More

One of my favorites since it opened!! Quaint and intimate, cozy, hipster interior, airy "Fountain view" patio, always popular! One meal and you'll know why! Outstanding corn meal jacket chile relleno! greatbbacon-wrapped dates! Sangria, beers, margaritas with style! Oh my! writing is making me hungry! And for good reason!

We went here for a Sunday lunch with a friend and could not have been more pleased. We had wonderful house made guacamole and salsas with warm tortilla chips. Then we all got the same thing, the burger, which was excellent. French fries were not on the menu for the day, but the chef made us some anyway! I eyed... More

My wife and I had been spending money like we had it, so we were looking for reasonably-priced without giving up on a nice environment. Enter Lola Gaspar. Located in downtown Santa Ana, CA some 20 minutes from Disneyland, it is nestled up in an artsy village. The service was phenomenal, the drinks were different but very good, the food... More

The sangria was delicious, the food was yummy, and the ambiance is my favorite part about this place. It's a really good place to take a date or even, in my case, my pretentious/hipster Seattle friends. Even the dessert was tasty (espresso affogato). My only complaint would be the long wait to order the sangria and ordering the food as... More

Santa Ana has changed big time since I worked here 30 years ago! It has become a hip art hub in the Fourth Street area near the Civic Center. It's a cozy, intimate spot built in an old building that once housed who remembers what, but it doesn't matter! My friend and I stumbled on Lola Gaspar during the Patchwork... More

Lola Gaspar is a new staple for me in Santa Ana. I have been coming here for years now and am consistently impressed by their food and beer. The restaurant is located in the art district of Santa Ana just a couple blocks away from 4th street. It's a small joint so you will want to make sure you go... More
