Ok allow me to start with the good, the only reason for the 2 stars. Beautiful place love how the owners kept the integrity of the building. I ordered the salmon with the creamy lentils and seasonal vegetables and added a creamy tomato basil soup. The lentils were great, I loved them they had great flavor, and the best way... More

My friend and I were headed from Sequoia/Kings Canyon to Yosemite, when we passed this place on the way. It definitely looked appealing from the outside, so we opted to take a chance on it and were glad we had. We stopped in for a late lunch. The prices are definitely not cheap, so do bear that in mind. I... More

Stopped here yesterday on the way to Pine Flat Lake. Fabulous place! Ordered Eggs Benedict...perfectly prepared & the cowboy potatoes were wonderful. Highly recommended! Bloody Marys are good too. :)

This is the best restaurant in town! The six days we were in town, we ate dinner there 4 times. The calamari fries are excellent, which we had several times as well as the Caesar salad. The salmon ratatouille was perfectly portion and flavorful. And my boyfriend had the duck stroganoff as well as the prime rib sandwich, both of... More

My brothers and I were heading to Kings Canyon and it looked as if we were running out of options as to where we could have a meal before entering the park. We came across this restaurant/tavern and thought that this may be our last hope. We walked up to the entrance and checked out the posted menu. Eeeeek! The... More

We had been in the car for hours and were ready for a break. We even turned around to go back after we drove by it. The design and decor is terrific. Bartender was fun and interesting. Check it out!

Every single item on the menu looks so good its hard to choose. So instead of ordering up 2 main entrees for the 2 of us. We opted to try 4 appetizers and share one entree. Both my husband and I LOVE calamari so it's a regular item we would order at restaurants where it's on the menu. This Calamari... More

Our group went for a special occasion lunch celebration. It is a unique old restored school house building, but I expected much more memorabilia. There are some old school pictures and a few old desks from days gone by. It does have a beautiful tavern, but we expected more for ambience. They should have some printed historical info pamphlets maybe?... More

We were on our way to Sequoia and terribly hungry with very limited options. We drove past this restaurant initially thinking what in the heck could be all the way out here? There were so many cars we stopped. Dinner was delicious. Yes, smaller portions but excellent cuisine. I had the special which was quinoa salad with prawns...and the clam... More

Our first visit here left a little to be desired. We had heard alot of very good press on this restaurant and finally tried it last Saturday night. Ambiance is very clean and the open kitchen is fun where you can watch the chefs prepare the food. We were seated in a booth and promptly ordered our food. Our first... More
