Surprised to find this in this location

Traveling through, needed dinner. We thought we would be limited to either Hamburgers or Mexican (nothing wrong with either) and then my wife found the description of this restaurant. We had duck pasta (good but I am not a pasta fan) and my son and I shared a buffalo steak and a pork chop (they... read more

A super place to eat and enjoy a Friday evening! Excellent band and friendly staff. The only thing that we feel can be improved would be the speed of the service, but it was a busy night. The location is interesting and quaint!

My husband and I joined another couple to eat at the School House for the first time last week. We enjoyed a full course meal over about 3 hours. All of us had cocktails to start off the evening and everyone was pleased with their choices. For appetizers, we had the duck bruschetta (to die for) and grilled artichokes. The... More

While staying at "The Branded Calf B & B" we discovered this restaurant. Excellent food, but alittle pricey. We would definitely eat here again, loved how they made use out of an old school house, it had charm:) The Buffalo Rib-eye was Awesome.

I surprised my husband with a visit here on Father's Day for brunch. It was so wonderful. Love the atmosphere. There is nothing else like it in the area. The food was excellent too. Very gourmet! They had a special brunch menu that day which I found myself liking several items off of. The lobster bisque was out of this... More

Wow! I could not believe that this charming little restaurant, smack dab in the middle of no where was so wonderful. The décor was spot on, keeping the vintage school house theme, the staff was courteous and attentive, but the winning ticket was the food. I had the burger mixed with prime rib and bison and it was without a... More

I visited for lunch and sat at the bar area. The food was really good. A little pricey, but good quality. The ambiance is great. Nice, cold beer and great service from the waitstaff. Took a walk around the restaurant and all staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was a great find in the way back from kings canyon to Fresno. A bit pricey, but incredibly tasty food. Only complaint was that things were a bit salty. The converted schoolhouse is very fun, and we ate in the tavern area, which has rolling seats shaped like barrels. Would definitely go again. They didn't have the Apple caramel... More

A must have fine dining experience if you drive past here; en route between Fresno and Sequoia. Your taste buds will thank you! It is a gourmet experience. Had the corn and crab soup and bison burgers and taste was great. Leave room for dessert, as the chocolate chip cookie is a chocoholics dream. Not only is the food superb,... More
