surprisingly great food

pretty much forced to stop here while driving down the cali coast. didn't look promising, but the breakfast food was excellent. service was good too. too many flies indoors though. and the gas station outside is marked up to take advantage of the vacationers.

Stopped for dinner during our PCH tour. It's an absolutely stunning resort with million dollar views and excellent dining! Sadly, but not surprisingly, they had no room at the inn, so we just enjoyed a sunset dinner on the patio. Next trip, I'll book in advance to ensure we have the chance to stay overnight! Food & service were exceptional.

We stopped for breakfast and then again for lunch a few days later on our return trip. Breakfast was generous and lunch had good variety. Lunch, on a Saturday, included a BBQ with live band. We ate again on the patio and skipped the noise. Parking lot was overflowing.

We stopped here after driving through Big Sur on the Pacific Coast Highway. It was the weekend and they had live music and a BBQ, we bought two combos which was plenty for four of us. The live music was great to relax to after a long drive and the atmosphere was fantastic. There are restaurants, shops, restrooms and a... More

One of the prettiest places on the California Coast! Hotel is up to date and has comfortable beds. Some of the rooms have fabulous views, but you probably have to book in advance. I got a good reservations three days prior to arriving. Restaurant is excellent!

On our drive up the Big Sur coast, we stopped at Ragged Point to see the beautiful view. It was a weekend, and the place was hopping with live music, barbeque grill, people, and sunshine. As we walked to the viewpoint, the music enveloped us and the aroma from the grill drew us in. We ended up ordering a dinner... More

Stopped here on our way to Santa Cruz. Beautiful location. There were 2 people in front of us in line when we arrived on July 15- peak travel season. They had one dopey guy taking the order (with ZERO customer service skills) and one cook. Total joke. Took 10 minutes just to get to the window. Ordered 2 sandwiches and... More

The Ragged Point Inn was an excellent place to stop during a recent trip down Highway 1. The view is excellent. The diner is very good with excellent outdoor seating. The trail to the beach is challenging but worth the effort.

Like the food but overpriced. But I guess we are paying for location and it is the only restaurant until you get past Hearst Castle.

Stayed here many years ago as a kid, it's still beautiful, bigger yes, and less wild, but still a fine stop for a bite or a brew, Great Bartender. Make sure to take the walk overlooking the sea, out by the sitting area and pergola, Magnificent.
