Hit the spot for the two us heading north to Monterey from SLO! $19 for a half slab, perfectly prepared, with all the (above mentioned) fixins! (Roasted, buttery corn cob was to die for!) We split it all, and chased it with an OK Cab and a beer (extra) and ate it out in the open. Bliss! Stop, if you... More

Stopped at this restaurant on our drive along Highway One. What a find! Beautiful gardens and wonderful views. We sat outside to eat, enjoyed the sunshine while we had our meal, watched the birds and took in the views. I had the Clam Chowder in Sour Dough Bread Bowl, my husband had the Shrimp dish. Both delicious and not too... More

A combination hotel, restaurant, gift shop in several buildings scattered around a beautiful lawn at the edge of the sea. We just went for lunch on the outside patio as we were staying in Cambria, but I'd love to stay here as well. Beautiful views of the ocean, good food, good service. Probably very busy in the summer.

We sat in the wine bar with a menu that we picked up ourselves for about 15 minutes before anyone came by. And then a family that came after us got their order taken before us! The food was decent, but a little pricey. I wasn't offered any refills on my drink. Not a very good experience.

Well I had to send the crab cakes back because they were cold, but when they came back they were very tasty. Good efficient service and sitting on the patio was definitely the best place to be. You can take a walk around after lunch to look at the spectacular view. Not a lot of choice along this part of... More

Seriously, how can you be picky when there's not a lot of places to stop off the PCH? This place is a great emotional marker, every time I drive by or stop, I'm happy, because I either know I'm getting close to Big Sur, or when coming back down south, getting close to civilization again. It's usually always busy, but... More

My hubby and I headed up the coast for our romantic, anniversary trip. Our destination: Big Sur. We stopped at Ragged Point on Halloween,,,,a storm was coming in. The clouds in the sky made the already stunning views even better!!! The food was only OK, though. I hate having to write that,,,,but its true. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich,... More

I think breakfast for two total cost $60. Each plate was $16-19. I had to get up to walk and find my waitress for coffee. It was maybe 5 couples and she had no reason to be so invisible. She wasn't rude, just a terrible waitress. Food was hearty, we needed it for the long drive ahead. I ordered a... More

The views at Ragged Point are amazing although we didn't have a bad view through our drive of the entire Big Sur. We both ordered sandwiches for lunch which came relatively quickly. The portions were large but the sandwich wasn't great and we wouldn't rush back.
