Nice menu, great variety - expensive

The dining room at the Ragged Point Inn is very casually decorated; tables are varnished wood and are far enough apart to allow private conversations. There are windows on three sides and views of the gardens and fishpond. Outdoor seating is available and there are umbrellas for shade. For... read more

It's perched up on a hill, overlooking the beautiful ocean. We sat out on the patio, and our puppy was more than welcome. Great food, great service.

The food was exceptionally good. Had a late Lunch out in the patio with beautiful views in the Big Sur Area. We had the Crab Cakes as an appetizer well made fluffy not over powering. Both the Chowder and the white Chili were very good. The chowder not "fishy" and the Chili was surprisingly light and not piquant. The Burgers... More

My beau and I were there for lunch, the Wednesday before Valentine's Day, and three days after a rainy weekend. Yes, it is 25-30 minutes drive, north of San Simeon, and probably 90 minutes, or more south of Big Sur. There are not many convenience stops between Ragged Point and Big Sur, but the very curvy drive is loaded with... More

Beautiful place to stop on Rte. 1 with lovely gardens and great coastal views from the property. It's not surprising that the food is overpriced. What was surprising was the abysmal quality of the food and the service. I can't imagine a lunch order of fish tacos ($15 for two tacos with no sides) being any more underwhelming. The fish... More

Had dinner with my family....it seems that this restaurant wants to give the impression that is a boutique restaurant, for its prices, but the food is just average. I ordered the steak, which was delicious, but the potatoes was just overspicy.

Less than average food & didn't seem to care, being the only game in town. With 4 people at the table & ordering different items, Most of the food was nothing to write home about. & the servers were slow to see about their tables.

Stopped for lunch after a lovely drive up Highway 1 - starving for a good meal. Neat location with scenic views! Ordered burger and Baha Shrimp salad with s side of steak fries. Service was great and food came quickly! Loved watching staff clear out the birds that were "visiting" ! Don't worry - everything was very clean and first... More

Stopped here for gas, sign indicated BBQ today. That BBQ chef knows his stuff, we shared chicken, excellent beans with bacon, potato salad for a delightful stop. Excellent viewpoint. Don't miss it if you see the BBQ today sign

Hit the spot for the two us heading north to Monterey from SLO! $19 for a half slab, perfectly prepared, with all the (above mentioned) fixins! (Roasted, buttery corn cob was to die for!) We split it all, and chased it with an OK Cab and a beer (extra) and ate it out in the open. Bliss! Stop, if you... More
