There aren't a lot of choices in San Simeon but since we love Mexican food, we went here. I guess we don't love all Mexican food. I had the enchilada pollo con mole, not great. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas with green sauce but was given beef enchiladas with red sauce by mistake. They weren't very good. I'd say below... More

With not many places to eat while staying in San Simeon this place is a nice place to have a meal or go for drinks. Wait staff was very good, drinks and food came quickly and were all very tasty.

We went here after the Hearst Castle tour because we were not in the mood for burgers or the coffee shops in the area. And I must say we approached it with some caution because we live in San Diego where we have some great Mexican places and asked ourselves "how good can it be this far off the beaten... More

This is probably one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Couldn't make even the chips right. Poor service, sorry food with a long wait.

Waited over 40 minutes for food that was bland and tasteless. Fajitas were served without tortilla wraps the few bits of chicken were chewy and tasted reheated with brown guacamole and brown salad. Asked for water for three never got it other meals were just stuffed with beans and watery spinach. What a shame the restaurant was busy and the... More

We make it a point to eat at El Chorlit0 Mexican Restaurant almost every time we come to Cambria. The food is always very good and tasty, they have a lot of vegetarian choices (which is important for me, since I'm a vegetarian), as well as non-vegetarian choices (which my wife appreciates, since she is not a vegetarian). The prices... More

Heading south on the Pacific Coast Highway after tour the Piedras Blancas lighthouse, we spotted El Chorlito and stopped for lunch. Great salsa. The spinach mushroom quesadilla was fantastic -- tasty, well spiced, and fully stuffed -- and the chicken tostada was too huge for one person. We also ordered a side of nopales, which was delicious. Everything was fresh.... More

Driving south on Route 1 we stopped on a whim. It was late afternoon and we ate on the patio out back. The restaurant is nicely decorated and it was very pleasant to dine out back. The wait staff was very friendly. Started with a few cold beers. My girlfriend had a taco salad and I had steak chimichangas. Both... More

definitely will not recommend, food is not fresh cocktails tasted watered down. 3 of us had dinner and we could not even point out what was good about anything. Forgettable. The place looks deserted , tired and boring. Poor, don't waste your money.

We had dinner here while in town for a wedding. The beef tacos were good, nice flavored meat, could have uses a little more cheese. Rice and beans were good. The seafood taco and enchilada was good too. We eat a lot of Mexican food, so we know Mexican. This was good, not great but good. When in San Simeon... More
