We try to find something different to eat often. This place fills the bill. Nothing fancy and noisy. But the food was tasty. We enjoyed mofongo, chuleta, pollo, ensalada deluxe, misto, flan con coco and trebleque. All good. Give it a try!

Comfort food that's fresh, garlicky, flavorful and fulfilling. Like going home to your Puerto Rican mama's house, even if you don't have a Puerto Rican mum. Eat the mofongo of course. But then get the tostones with your chicken rice and beans. Heaven. Just wish they had cerveza but I guess they're not licensed or have chosen not to do... More

Love coming here with the family. Parking is the only issue but the city added a new lot a block away. Chuletas are a great choice!

Quality food, cozy little atmosphere. Can get busy and have long waits so get there early. Only complaint is having to share tables with other parties, but not a deterrent.

This is a place where you order at the counter and hope you can find a table somewhere. When I was there with friends it was so loud (poor acoustics) that we had to yell at each other to be heard. As soon as we finished our food we hastily left and went elsewhere. On the positive side, I loved... More

I have been to Puerto Rico but didn't eat there, so don't know whether the food is authentic. I can say, however, that it is delicious! My companions loved it too. Good prices. Very popular.

We ate here recently with a VERY large group for a work event. They don't take reservations but we were able to get 3 tables for our group as a business event. The food was fantastic. Apparently there is often a long line, so it's good to get there early to get a table.

Love the food here, and it's a place our young adults are always happy to visit. But we more often get take out, because, for me, the queues to get into the restaurant, the open seating (i.e. tables of 8-10, so you're sitting with whomever) and the imperative to clear out when you've finished eating (enough people standing around waiting... Even though the lines are always long it moves quickly and so worth the wait. Every item I have had there has been excellent. It would be nicer if there were more tables, but the staff manage the space they have well. There is no alcohol.

I have eaten in lots of Puerto Rican restaurants in New York City, and although the meals have almost always been pleasant, Puerto Rican cuisine has never been one of my "go to cuisines." Basically, I find it too bland, and I don't like having to add a lot of hot sauce. That said, others may find that Sol Food... More
