Best American style pizza in Northern CA

Starting with the warm welcome at the door by Ted, the owner, this is a great experience overall. A throwback to the days when pizzerias were independently owned and you were treated like a part of the family. The pizzas are perfect...the sauce and crust have just the right balance of a little... read more

We've been going there for years, even before they moved to the Smith Ranch area. The owner/chef is onsite and it makes all the difference. I've gone there for both lunch and dinner. He makes the best pizza crust I've ever had, but it's not just the pizza that's good. The shrimp caesar salad is one of my favorites and... More

I don't exactly remember the name iof this incredible fiery fiesty pizza but its like called the 3 Beer Jalapeno Pizza. We ordered 3 pizza and I must say the sauces, the bread, and the toppings were all off the hook. I looked at the slice to see if the cheese reacted like it should and it held perfect. Yum.

This is a small family owned restaurant and there are not too many tables. That said you may experience somewhat of a wait. But, the food is worth the wait especially the pizza! So, get there early

This small, seats maybe 50 people, pizzeria Mulberry Street Pizzeria is locally, family owned and winner of Best of Marin Hall of Fame and the Food Network Gold Medal. Ted Rowe, Chef, California Culinary Academy Graduate, August 1983, provides an amazing set of soups, salads and entrees, both vegetarian and meat, that rivals the top restaurants in San Francisco. Family... More

A lifetime ago I worked here and stayed longer than I should have because of the food. Stilton Cheese Stilton Salad, Tomato Soup with their freshly cooked bread, and my favorite is the Pizza al Pesto & adding pepperoni & feta cheese. Great beers on tap and some of the oddest specialty pizzas you will ever see. You also won't... More

We waited over 5 minutes for a server to come to our table to take our drink order and then food order. The place seemed to be pretty busy so I'm not sure if they were understaffed tonight or not. We had a simple order for a pepperoni and black olive 10" pizza. It wasn't anything spectacular; in fact, the... More

I visit San Rafael every 12-18 months. When I do, I ALWAYS come to Mulberry Street for pizza. There is always a line for table no matter what day of the week you come for dinner. I look forward to my next visit when I'm next in San Rafael.

Every time we go to the Cine-mark Regency 6, our treat is to have a pizza at Mulberry Street Pizza. Usually, I am NOT a pizza eater, the only one I have really enjoy is the one I can have at the Mulberry Pizza. The staff is very pleasant and with a true smile on there face. You can choose... More

A normal Pizza, not superb. As it is close to the office it is easy to grab a slice before going to the hotel. Also with pizza to go, so you can have it at your hotel room. Normally is crowded so expect some delays.
