The food was excellent! I had the lamb chop salad (3 lollipop lamb chops on a big plate of mixed greens). My lunch partner had the linguini agli scampi (shrimp) which he raved about. If only I lived in San Rafael I would go here often. Excellent service also.

Nice visit to Il Davide. The veal piccata seemed a bit over-seasoned with a too creamy sauce, but after the first bite I was hooked. Loved the carpaccio. Terrific vanilla ice cream. My only complaint was that no one was familiar with the Italian aperitif, the americano. Good service.

I had the sweet potato ravioli and it was a bit too sweet for me but otherwise tasty. Their calamari is quite delicious - my favorite in the Marin area. Their food doesn't disappoint.
