a wonderful, whimsical neighborhood bfast/brunch place

Nini's has now become that place for us where we just gravitate to on weekends. We go with our newspapers/novels, and sit out in the patio while munching on good food. Plenty of healthy options, also multiple things available for vegetarians.

This restaurant is tucked away in a residential neighborhood that draws a crowd. The meals are fresh, hot, appealing to the eye and tastes even better. There is a wide variety of meals to choose from, and don't be shy about that special order. They are there to start your day out right. The staff are always friendly, ready to... More

Yes, a bit if a wait but yummy food, good prices and awesome service! My hubby had the Garlic burger which which was delish. I had the Wally Country eggs - like a breakfast skillet. Also Delicious! There are also Mimosas that come with your own little bottle of prosseco so it's like 2.5 each! And the price is definitely... More

I've lived in the Bay Area all my life and just recently discovered this gem of a coffee shop! Located inside a San Mateo neighborhood this restaurant will be difficult to find unless you have GPS or familiar with the area. I strongly suggest getting there early due to the fact it does get busy especially during the weekends, Food:... More

I have been going to Nini's for years. Well, since I was a "tween" anyway. My dad had worked at one of the warehouses near this diner for many years. Every time I'd go visit him, we'd go to Nini's for lunch. Since I've moved out of state... I still make this our spot to get together. The staff know... More

This place was recommended by a hotel employee where we were staying for a night while passing through. It was exactly what I like, a classic homey place that has been around for decades. It is in a residential neighborhood and it wasn't easy to find parking on the street (there's no parking lot) but we ended up finding parking... More

The food was good but not spectacular. The place was too fast paced for us to have a leisurely breakfast, coffee and conversation. Since this is a small commercial and industrial area, finding parking is not easy. Good place for the local workers and community but not worth the drive since there are several excellent restaurants along my route. I... More

Just go. This is the classic corner diner. A counter, cramped front room seating, spacious back patio. Always busy. For a reason. It is good food, good service and good folks. You will see someone you know. Know why? They found out before you about Nini's Coffee Shop. Now you know. Go.
