First of all, I suspect the many warnings of long waits really apply to weekends. I went on a Wednesday morning at 8 and there was tons of room. The menu is long and full of breakfast and lunch classics. I had corned beef hash with eggs, home fries, and toast. The home fries are made from scratch, which is... More

Pre Alice Waters place, don’t look for organic section. Come here for reverting back and taking a stroll with the grandparent era. The menu is very is exhaustive, the service very tender, don’t ask for more, just enjoy it. A traditional breakfast place, that would do for lunch as well, one feels good being there, no portentousness, totally at home... More

It was a 30 minute wait. But, it was worth it. The vegetarian omelet is made with fresh cut and sautéed veggies. Their pancakes are just the right texture. An added bonus is the free coffee for you during your wait.

Nini's has been around forever. There's obviously a reason for this. It is old-school breakfast and lunch. Unapologetic in the amount of butter, toast, potatoes bacon, sausage: anything you can think of that has gone in and out of fashion over the years. So after you read these first four sentences you may or may not want to continue with the review.... More

Saw the great reviews so decided to pop in on the way to the airport for breakfast. Firstly - I drove past this place! I was in a residential area and thought there couldn't possibly be a restaurant around here! On closer inspection on the corner of one of the residential streets of San Mateo, there was Nini's! I turned... More

This family restaurant has been around for decades and enjoyed by our family for 20 plus years. We frequent this fabulous diner for breakfast , brunch or lunch. The staff is always so friendly. We love it here. We love to hangout with friends here.

Not many places now have the family feeling when dining out. Nini's has that good ole diners feel to the place, great garden sitting area, good pricing and portion but missing the good strong Italian brewed coffee. Lookout for the queue be prepared for a long wait for a table.

Well, kudo's to my Trip Advisor compatriots, all of you who've rated Nina's. I read the reviews and tried this spot on Sunday morning. I guess it was clean living and self denial but I stopped in with my family on the way to SFO for a 1:00pm flight. If there was a wait we were going to have to... More

Super friendly, fun happy decor, excellent service and great food. We stopped in for breakfast and the food was hot and tasty and our coffee cups were kept full! Even though it was busy we were not rushed out nor were we hurried. very relaxed vibe. Enjoyed it very much.

I frequently have breakfast here, I am pretty sure my heart rate drops a few beats and the blood pressure by 10 to 20 points as soon as i enter the place, as this joint gives me comfort with the required breakfast, great start of the day, regardless of what you order, its comfort food. I say its 65% ambiance... More
