Expensive Groceries, less than whole foods

This is sort of like whole foods but the staff is really nice. Wide selection of unique goods and they have fresh bread and sandwiches :)

Walking through this market is an uplifting visual experience in neatness, order, and international selections one cannot locate elsewhere. The liquor department, cheese, meat, fish, deli bakery and to-go foods are of a wide variety. Upstairs is retail shopping for the finest in house and kitchen wares and other difficult-to-find items of beauty as well as stationery and cookbooks. Since... More

Draegers is not a full scale deli nor a restaurant. It is a very, very upscale high class food market with not only local produce but the best the world has to offer in everything else. You will find $4000 bottles of premier cru wine there along with about 2,000 - 3,000 other titles of just discovered wine along with... More

OMG! If you're a foodie, this is the place to shop. Draeger's is the most upscale market I have ever visited. The quality and selection is outstanding. Isles and isles of gourmet food and condiments will whet your appetite. Stroll through sections of cheese, wine, home furnishings, kitchen supplies, and florals that will all take you to another world. The... More

This is definately a great place for foodies to cruise. If you're looking for a one stop shop to find a one-of-a-kind gourmet item this may be it. The one thing I notice in places where you have so much variety is that you may not have enough turnover on certain perishable items. I know Draeger's has been in the... More

This is a good place to look for gourmet or hard to find items. It's too expensive for regular shopping trips. The cafe and bakery isn't bad; good to go to on a weekday morning.

Fantastic grocery store, with restaurant. Quite expensive but lots of fine foods and unusual goods that you don't find in your "regular" grocery store. Great International selection. Beautiful flower shop. Easy parking in downtown location.

Last Draeger's I visited was in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville. I would always make it a treat when I had my hair done next door. I love this store for all the special items they don't have at your local stores or Safeway. The meat department and seafood is always good and fresh. I love the variety of items they... More

Great place in San Mateo to find good food, drinks and other stuff. Foodies should try it. Parking is easy, though we walk there more often.

We often go to Dreager's because, as a retired M.D. who is just learning to cook, I am able to find EVERYTHING I need for international recipes. Their produce is excellent, but over-priced. They even have an excellent selection of living, and cut, flowers. I have never been very impressed with the delicatessen offerings, especially the salads (Whole Foods being... More
