Yea, it's a chain, but it's consistently good

It's a solid go-to place when you want a nice burger in a family-style restaurant. I've bene coming there pretty much since they have opened and I'm not usually one for chain restaurants but it's almost a joke among friends - someone suggests going there and we groan but all admit "the food is... read more

Our dinner was a disappointment from the get-go. When we arrived, they said it would be 10 minutes for a table, even though there were empty tables all over the place. Once we were seated, it took forever to get our menus, and the server disappeared for long spells. When our appetizer arrived, our server said, "I hope you guys... More

It was good, nothing outstanding. We did a carry-out order for 6 people and took it to our hotel room.

They have been around for a long time now. When we want a really good burger this is the place to go. They have other things too but we tend to get the burgers most of the time. They are big and filling and there are lots of choices to pick from.

This used to be our go-to place with our 8 and under children. We could get kid-sized portions, adult drinks with tasty menu items. When they converted half of the restaurant to Adults Only (over 21), it really changed the dynamic. The wait is still just as long and now there is no TV or video games to entertain antsy... More

I agree with other reviewers that the food is good, especially if you like burgers. However, service is mediocre at best, although there are available tables, there is always a line at the door. It is much worse on weekends. You never see the waitress after they serve your food.

We've gone to many Red Robins, and they're consistently top flight when it comes to drinks and delicious hamburgers with steak fries. Our favorite, the Royal Red Robin burger (the one with the fried egg), served with ranch dressing for the nicely salted steak fries, has to be one of the best burgers in the world. If you're near a... More

We dined at Red Robin in San Mateo on our last night vacationing in the San Francisco area. Our food was delicious. What really stood out was the awesome service we received from our waiter, David E. I must say, he was very attentive. There was a woman working with him who also was very attentive. I was impressed! Would... More

At least in San Mateo, CA the restaurant is becoming more "adult" in it's decor and menu; trending more towards a sports bar feel. I do hope they add a bit more to the decor. Food was fine and good service too. Will return.

Went here with parents (6) and teenagers (4) after a high school basketball game. There was plenty of nearby parking on a Saturday night with lots of Christmas shoppers. Although the restaurant was busy we were seated almost immediately. The bar area had a couple of televisions and seating that looked good for parties of twol Our server Hugo promptly... More
