Love the pizza

Great pizza stop in San Mateo. I ordered the Golden Gate Special (pesto sauce, chicken, mushrooms, garlic and onions. Very healthy!!! The small pizza was more than ample for two unless you're feeding a teen-ager. My friend ordered the Eggplant Parmegiana served with vegetables, pasta and bread plus... read more

Great pizza stop in San Mateo. I ordered the Golden Gate Special (pesto sauce, chicken, mushrooms, garlic and onions. Very healthy!!! The small pizza was more than ample for two unless you're feeding a teen-ager. My friend ordered the Eggplant Parmegiana served with vegetables, pasta and bread plus soup or salad. It was good and quite a bargain.

Decent pizza, superbly located, very busy yet very frinedly service, small and overcrowded on weekends. Can't go wrong.

I have never been to North Beach Pizza but I have had their takeout a number of times while staying in the myriad of hotels that make up the SFO complex. My most recent experience was in ordering two pizza's for myself and my family as we watched college football a the Embassy Suites after a long day of touring... More

I am conflicted on this one as they can on occasions deliver a relatively good pizza, but this is marred by a couple of factors: 1) too expensive for what you get 2) service can be poor at times when they get a little busy 3) did i say the pizza is too expensive? :) 4) have had burnt crust... If your walking around downtown San Mateo you have many choices for food. If your thinking Italian or just pizza choose North Beach. Has the feel of an old style pizza parlor so the smell of baking pizza fills the air. Choices include pizza or pasta dishes quality and quantity were great.

I liked the sauce, not too spicy, just mellow enough, good chewy crust. One of the best of the hundreds of thousand pizza places in San Mateo. We always get take-out.

Supposedly the best pizza in the Bay Area. Unfortunately the worst service I've ever experienced. We placed our group party order at noon, to be delivered by 8pm for a hungry sports team. 60minutes later and the stoned out receptionist has no idea where our 20 pizzas are, except to repeatedly say that it should be 10 minutes away. Do... More

The pizzas are good, although sometimes they seemed over baked and the crust is dry. They deliver, which is the number one reason I order from them.

we stopped in for pizza last night. it's been a while since we've been there. there was a time when each pizza was totally predictably delicious. since we pretty much always order the same - pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms, we expect the same pizza. but we don't stop too often any more simply because many times it's just not good.... I held a corporate lunch meeting at my home and ordered delivery of two large pizzas from North Beach Pizza. The topping side was fine but the entire bottom crust of both pizzas were completely black. It was an embarassing moment but luckily my guests had a good sense of humor. We just ate the toppings and left the burnt... More
