With tip, wine and 3 or 4 courses, the meal will run you about $100/per person. Good quality food and well executed. Dessert was not my favorite. The cod entree I had was fishy smelling but cooked just right. Really enjoyed the appetizers - tomato bisque had a rich tomato flavor, the bone marrow was very big but not much... More

Enjoyed my meal at Viognier, which came highly recommended by my Bay area friends. Did the 'standard' 3-course meal and charcuterie board to start - all very good. (chose the steak as a main course and it was superb.) Service was efficient, wine was good, didn't have to wait long in between courses. Price tag expensive for California but in... More

Pretty high-end food. Interesting choices on the menu. Delicious taste. Great for gourmet lovers. You will not find anything cheap here. Money wise, not a place I could go to often. Had a great experience.

I have eaten here many times over the past several years and found the service and quality very consistent and excellent. The menu changes and is a tasting menu (you choose selections for each course; they offer 3, 4 and 5 course meals, with and without wine). There is also a Chef's menu of the day with 5 courses. Service... More

For the most part, the food was very, very good, but the portions were too meager for the likes of me. But then I am from Milwaukee! : ) I ordered the stuffed quail and was a little anxious that the stuffing wasn't hot upon being served - never a good sign as far as I'm concerned (I was a... More

This restaurant is located on the second floor of Draeger's Market in downtown San Mateo. The food was well presented and included interesting flavors. The Farm Apple Salad included firm and tasty apple slices, other fruits, delicate greens in a creamy dressing. The Flounder was well cooked, tasty and served on a bed of beans and mushrooms. After a slow... More

We had a business dinner at Viognier and very much enjoyed it. I liked the restaurant's design, lots of wood and natural things; it felt comfortable yet elegant. The menu was sufficiently broad with some surprises and the food was excellent. (To be fair I should note that one member of our party asked for well done steak, it came... More

I attended a business dinner here with several colleagues. The food was outstanding and the optional wine pairing was a great way to sample a variety of wines. The service was excellent even with a larger party. The dinner was pricey, but it would be worth it for a special occasion.

Save your money. Food just ok, service inattentive. Waiter acted like he could care less if we stayed or left. Desert was highpoint of dinner. The rest mediocre.

Went here for a business dinner. It was my first experience and it was wonderful. Nice relaxed fine dining atmosphere where you can enjoy a high quality meal and have a great conversation with your guests. The chef brought out a few items that were very tasteful. I would rank this restaurant as one of the top in CA. We... More
