Recommended by our hotel the Millwood Inn. The chips were hot and crispy. The salsa was freshly prepared. The tacos, steak, tostada salad were all very good and filling. Casual place to eat out.

I'm no Mexican food expert but staying in San Mateo for a week during some training I set out to explore. Celia's looked welcoming from the outside and that was borne out by a warm welcome inside. I was served promptly and with a helpful manner. I ordered from the very wide choice on the menu and was blown away... More

I have eaten here many times before the arrival of all the great taquerias in the area. The food and service are both quite average. The portions are large. The margaritas are pretty good.

The good service and drinks are all very good. The prices are ok but overall this is better than average Mexican places.

So you know when it's a good mexican restaurant when you see other Hispanics patronize a mexican restaurant. The food's not bad, but for the price ($13 starting range for two tacos), you could get a better meal at any of the downtown mexican restaurants on B Street for authentic mexican (eg Los Primos Taqueria at 85 B Street). They... More

We stopped in here for dinner on a Tuesday night. We were seated in a very nice booth with a window looking into the interior patio. Delicious chip, salsa and water were brought to our table immediately. Although I usually have a chile relleno, I decided to try something different and ordered the Steak a la Mexicana, a broiled 10... More

Visiting the area from out of state and our grandkids told us that this was one of their favorites. And now I can understand why. They have a great variety of food and everything we ordered was very fresh, hot, and tasty. There wasn't a wait as seems to be common in lots of restaurants in the area. The wait... More
