We sat at the bar for happy hour. The guy working that night was so much fun to watch, he was the bartender, server, cook and oyster shucker and he did it all in a timely, friendly, professional manner. We had a couple of drinks each, the calamari appetizer, smoked trout quesadilla, ginger lime prawns, and a pasta dish with... More

I could have cooked that Halibut much better than this way overpriced restaurant could ever do. Absolutely NO seasoning used. Presentation was unrated. This place is so outrageously priced I will never do it again. Drink prices also out of this world. Don't go upstairs the priced jumps even higher. High prices do NOT equate to high quality.

On warm nights my husband and I like to go kayaking after which we tie up to the dock outside of The Fishmarket and have dinner. We usually eat in the bar because the bartenders are friendly and the service is fantastic. Its a great place to end the weekend!

After a long day on the road, I was especially looking forward to some great oysters on the half-shell, a good glass or two of wine, and some excellent seafood in a particularly inviting location. I got several great glasses of wine, but that's when things went south. All of reviews were pointing to a great dining experience, but I... More

There are actually 2 restaurants here with same management and a fish market. On the lower floor there is a large restaurant and bar with an extensive menu of fresh fish and other items. On the upper floor is a more limited menu and more quiet atmosphere. Both are very good, but I much prefer the lower area due to... More

Restaurant was recommended by the hotel we stayed at and so glad we went with the recommendation. The Fish Market was exactly what we hoped for. Clean, friendly staff, beautiful location, and food was awesome. We liked it so much went twice while visiting California.

The Fish Market is mainly a restaurant though it also sells fresh seafood. Having been there several times I recently hosted a meal for some 20+ folks. Food, as always fresh and well cooked, and service ,even for this big group was attentive and the staff worked well together. The menu of fish dishes is large, from appetizers both cold... More

Very friendly staff, great view beside Foster City's canal, spacious patio area. Good for business and casual dining. Oysters are very fresh. However, the Ono I ordered was overly cooked and dried.

We started of by going to the lower bar, and watching the chef make our warm spinach salad or pasta - always incredible food, great service and fun atmosphere. Finally headed up to Top of the Market - and also sitting at the bar - had the best tomato soup ever. I mean, I don't even like tomato soup! The... More
