One of the best ramen joints in San Mateo

Ramen/broth here is delicious. I would of given it 5 stars if the whole seating/waiting process wasn't so painful. When I am hangry, I can't bear the thought of waiting to eat for 20+ minutes so I usually just head over to Himaware a few blocks down for some very good ramen without the long wait.

We waited nearly an hour and were lucky to be the last ones to get the noodles broth (they close if they are out of broth) You have to go at 5:15pm if you want to avoid long wait for dinner. I had the soy sauce base as they were out of soy bean base. The noodles are perfectly cooked... More

I had heard of this place for quite some time but been daunted by the long line. Finally I summoned enough courage to wait it out yesterday, and it took about 40 minutes for me to get a seat. The inside was really cramped and small. No wonder the long line outside of the restaurant. I ordered their signature garlic... More

My nephew ate here so he recommended we eat here. We arrived at 4:30PM and there was a line waiting out the front door already. Someone came out to take our orders in advance and when the tables are available, you can go in and eat. There couldn't be more than 12 tables in the restaurant and a small kitchen... More

If you love ramen, you got to try this place. Menu choice is limited but their ramen is super yummy. It's the sister branch of ramen parlor and Santa ramen. One thing to note us that there's always a long line outside. If you don't get there 15 minutes before it opens, be prepared for at least a 45 mins... More

This was my first ramen experience in the bay area where my family brought me to, it was a long wait and we were skipped over a few times because we weren't waiting anxiously outside the door, but in the end we got in. The broth is delish but once they run out they do not replenish. One of the... More

Me and my fiancé went to check what the fuss is all about as this ramen place has pretty good reviews. When we got there there was long line that made us think that it could be a good place. Long line maybe the place is small? Seating capacity is 24. There are 3 ramen flavors to choose from, additional... More

My husband and I recently visited Japan, and ate plenty of excellent ramen there, but he insists Ramen Dojo offers the best he's ever had. I too found the garlic pork exceptional, but this restaurant loses points (in my book) for the sub-par dining experience. Ramen Dojo is a hole in the wall in every sense of the term. The... More

OK, I've never been to Ivan Ramen in New York or Tokyo but I have to say this is the most delicious ramen I've had so far. It's really delicious. The broth and pork are flavorful. Yes, the menu is small but they don't have to have a big selection. People like me obviously enjoy what limited selection they have.... More

Ok they do not serve tea. Yep you heard it right. Same owner as Santa Ramen but much much smaller with line that's at least 45 minute long if you're not there before the first seating she they opened. It's a 24 seater with a few seats a t the counter. You can get extra portion ramen. The garlic pork... More
