Why only two stars? For the final cost of the meal, the long wait, and just avg flavor. I was finally able to try this place, not wanting to wait for a long time in a line. I was disappointed with my experience here. The menu selection of the type of ramen is only three styles. Everything you want on... More

A little place in San Mateo, specialty is spicy ramen. If you feel like a nice bowl of ramen in a cold windy SF day, this is the place to go. You have to be there early, line starts before they open at 5:30pm. If you like it spicy, then you need to ask for extra extra spicy!

Our friend had inside knowledge: get in line by 5:00 pm, even though the place opens at 5:30 pm for dinner. The line had already formed, and if you do not get in on the first seating, be prepared to wait for an hour while the others dine. Hostess started taking order in line, to get things moving. SInce this... More

There are two places in San Mateo widely known as the best ramen. One is Himawari, but recently Ramen Dojo has come up as a challenger. The seriousness of ramen in san mateo is evident by the long lines. This place is seriously good, as the local san mateo population is very knowledgeable about ramen.

We ventured here on a weekday for lunch on our way back to the city, thinking there wouldn't be a line...ha. We waited 20 mins, which wasn't too bad, but really...a random ramen place in San Mateo with a line? tThat's ramen dojo for you Evidently, the Spicy Garlic Pork broth is the way to go, so that's what we... We finally ate there after a long 40 minutes queue but it was worth it. The ramen was great and the size was big. Try the pork ramen with extra garlic. I will surely come back and bring my family there when we visit US again next time.

This is the old location of busy local ramen shop "Santa." The owner Mr. Kobayashi decided to continue Ramen shop here but changed some arrangements, spicier ramen noodles. As a result it attracted lots of Santa ramen fans and making long line every lunch/dinner time. But considering the difference between this Dojo, original Santa and/or Ramen Parlor (the 3rd Santa),... More
