Me and my fiancé went to check what the fuss is all about as this ramen place has pretty good reviews. When we got there there was long line that made us think that it could be a good place. Long line maybe the place is small? Seating capacity is 24. There are 3 ramen flavors to choose from, additional... More

My husband and I recently visited Japan, and ate plenty of excellent ramen there, but he insists Ramen Dojo offers the best he's ever had. I too found the garlic pork exceptional, but this restaurant loses points (in my book) for the sub-par dining experience. Ramen Dojo is a hole in the wall in every sense of the term. The... More

OK, I've never been to Ivan Ramen in New York or Tokyo but I have to say this is the most delicious ramen I've had so far. It's really delicious. The broth and pork are flavorful. Yes, the menu is small but they don't have to have a big selection. People like me obviously enjoy what limited selection they have.... More

Ok they do not serve tea. Yep you heard it right. Same owner as Santa Ramen but much much smaller with line that's at least 45 minute long if you're not there before the first seating she they opened. It's a 24 seater with a few seats a t the counter. You can get extra portion ramen. The garlic pork... More

I have never tried ramen like this before. You order it in a big bowl and can add whatever extra toppings you want for a dollar. When you arrive put your name on the list hanging on the wall outside. There was a long wait when I went but my husband loved the food and claims it was his favorite... More

My sister-in-law said that Japanese businessmen plan their flights so they can layover in SFO and have their ramen here. I'm no ramen connoisseur, but it was delicious. We arrived 30 minutes before it opened for lunch, were the 3rd party in line, so were seated when it opened. We all had the garlic pork broth. Delicious!

Why only two stars? For the final cost of the meal, the long wait, and just avg flavor. I was finally able to try this place, not wanting to wait for a long time in a line. I was disappointed with my experience here. The menu selection of the type of ramen is only three styles. Everything you want on... More

A little place in San Mateo, specialty is spicy ramen. If you feel like a nice bowl of ramen in a cold windy SF day, this is the place to go. You have to be there early, line starts before they open at 5:30pm. If you like it spicy, then you need to ask for extra extra spicy!

Our friend had inside knowledge: get in line by 5:00 pm, even though the place opens at 5:30 pm for dinner. The line had already formed, and if you do not get in on the first seating, be prepared to wait for an hour while the others dine. Hostess started taking order in line, to get things moving. SInce this... More
