Super burger place!

Burgers done right! Had a nice IPA brew with it. Also in a nice central San Mateo location on 3rd Ave. I will most certainly be back on our next visit.

So Saturday night and only two front of house staff both of whom worked hard, however 3 were needed to deal with the diners, now it could have been they had been let down, but the service was not up to their competitors, being both slow and rushed at the same time. This all could of been forgiven, but the... More

After hearing about it over and over again from some friends and insisting that it is a must try, we went down and had lunch there today. My hubby and I split one mango chicken burger and one Rave burger so we can both try them. The Rave burger was really spicy! the big slices of jalapeno were a bit... More

I had an excellent burger here, my onion ring on the other end was a bit greasy. We ordered half bottle of wine from their menu then found out although half bottles were on offer they didn't actually have any. It was a slow week night without too many diners, still with only 2 servers the service was a bit... More

Rave Burger has THE best burgers in the area, IMHO, and I am a burger aficionado. The ingredients are always super fresh, anything is customizable, and the service is very friendly. My favorite is the original Rave burger, with its succulent and substantial beef patty, crispy onion strings, grilled jalapeño peppers and chipotle aioli (comes with bacon too but I... More

We had very good hamburgers there. At that night the service was slightly slow but foods were delicious. My pineapple Teriyaki hamburger was fabulous and my friend’s mushroom hamburger steak, which was their daily special, looked very good too. French fries are fresh and crisp, nothing wrong. Though we satisfied our dinner, the manager told us this wasn’t meat their... More

Visited on a not very crowded Sat. Night. From sitting down til getting our check the service was slow and not at all proactive. I ordered three sliders (Teriyaki Chicken, Avocado Salsa, Mushroom Burger)--which when they arrived--were delicious and showed unique creative flair. The Mandarin Orange Salad was also fresh and tasty. On the negative side the Chili was somewhat... More

I go to Rave Burger when I am in town for business. Great burger. For those of you who know Michael Simon and his burger restaurants in Cleveland called BSpot, this place is a close second. Don't expect the pepper relish bar here but the burger itself along with the various fresh toppings makes it well worth a visit.

Their signature burger - the Rave Burger - is awesome. what do you get when you throw together thinly sliced onion rings and a hand made pattie? RAVE BURGER. it's seriously one of the best burgers ive had in my life. would highly recommend! they have a bunch of other really unique burgers i've yet to try. you can see... More

We eat here multiple times when visiting family in San Mateo. The unique toppings are incredibly good and the fries are killer. My kids like to rate burgers from all our travels and this still remains number one!
