I have been to the Black Sheep many times over the years. San Luis Obispo downtown is always a great stop. The Black Sheep concocts their own Bloody Mary mix and it can be Spicy!! Don't expect breakfast in a glass here - it's two green olives and go-go juice, plain and simple. If you're hungry, have the Mac and... More

It was a Saturday night and there was a large group of us celebrating a birthday party. They had one bartender and one server and were busy. However, they were fast, efficient, and pleasant. It was my first time there but will not be the last. Thank you for great service!!!!!

It's a bar. The mac and cheese tasted frozen with a ton of low quality greesy cheese on top. I have to say the salad was very good as well as the oil and balsamic vinegar. That is the only thing I would order there. The staff was a bit rude when asked questions. Guess they are too busy in... More

Though this may be a hopping bar later, we stopped for dinner as we didn't want to wait in a long line. The food was MUCH better than expected, especially the gourmet Mac & Cheese!

We stopped here for a beer and a bit of a rest after walking downtown for awhile. This is a nice little pub, I can imagine it would get a bit crowded at night. There is not a lot of room in there, but during the day it's a nice cozy location for a bit of a chat. The staff... More

I went to college in San Luis in the 80s and some fiends got together for a reunion. On a warm Friday evening in the summer, the front of the Bar was packed, but we found a lot of open tables in the back patio. We had lots of great appetizers and our waitress was absolutely great.

They have a great set up and atmosphere here. Very enjoyable and exciting. The food is great too. I honestly think its the best burger in SLO that I have tried; however, I have not tried everything in SLO, so please take that into consideration. Anyways, definitely worth a visit if you havent been!

Good burgers and huge sandwiches! However, patio setting is less than appealing. The onion rings and fries are great and the food is always hot.

If you love macaroni and cheese, this is the place to go. Other food is all good, such as the ham/cheese Croque Monsieur. Nice pub atmosphere. Get there by 8 pm if you want to have a seat to eat.

A great location along with a great atmosphere--dark and atmospheric. Food is always on point; it's the real deal. I visit SLO at least once a year and have never failed to get some Black Sheep in.
