Tastes in BBQ vary a lot. Mo's deals with this by offering four sauces, all good, from hot and spicy to sweet. Not a great variety of items, but good quality. "Broken-in" atmosphere with picture windows to downtown. Have enjoyed Mo's a number of times. more

It's good for someone who doesn't cook their own or if there's nothing else available. I don't think they cook their BBQ on site...the place was busy, no one was in the kitchen, but food was still being served. No suprise...more and more BBQ joints in a city are cooking on another site and bringing to the store to sell.... more

Wow, Smokin' Mo's BBQ in San Luis Obispo is my new favorite. The food is awesome, and the service is quick and friendly. I had the chicken tacos, and my friend had the BBQ chicken sandwich. the original smokin' mo's, has relocated to larger environs (where hudson's grille used to be) in downtown s.l.o. yummy tri-tip, bbq chicken, slaw, and a multitude of sauces. more

We have a student at Cal Poly and we love to come to this restaurant when we visit. They have a nice atmosphere & tables for large groups or at least room to slide tables together. If you come to SLO for BBQ, don't settle for downtown SLO Mo's Smokehouse, a middling at best bbq chain. The tri tip sandwich is dry. The place doesn't even smell like BBQ (doesn't have a smokeshouse) and that's always a bad sign. Service is poor too. more
