Oct 10, 2014. Stopped in for dinner and ran into a long line and packed restaurant. Decided to stick it out and were floored at how fast the line moved and the food was ready. College town, high volume restaurant with good noise, good vibe, casual, ridiculously popular and good food. Portions are enormous and not expensive. Well worth the... More

Not a secret by any means, crazy busy and for good reason. Get the large tip salad to go and take it pool side. Get there before 12noon or find yourself wrapped out to the sidewalk on line

My husband and I spent a night in SLO on our way to Monterey/Carmel. We wanted a sports bar to watch the SF Giants baseball game and Thursday night football. What a find. Fabulous food, great prices, good people-watching, and a fun sports bar atmosphere. We stayed for hours. And the Giants won.

Awesome happy hour. $2.50 drafts. Great tri-tip. Don't be scared of the long line. It moves really fast.

Firestone is a San Luis Obsipo treasure. Since being a student here, I've enjoyed their lunch and dinner countless times and recommend this place to any first time visitor. I warn you however, it's not a, sit down and eat as long as you want kind of place. It's very busy and their restraint design is to get people in... More

Ate here on recommendation of family who live in area. While being noisy for a sports bar the food, service are good. The tri tip sandwich melted in your mouth it was so tender, crispy fries the best! It has to be so good because we tried on a Friday night to get in and there was a ring of... More

Ate here on a recommendation in Lonely Planet which was well deserved. The line to order was relatively long but moved fast, the prices good and it didn't take long for our order. Food was really good - I had the pork ribs which were juicy and delicious!

I know everyone goes for the tri-tip sandwich but I like the burgers. Service is fast, food is good and the outdoor people watching is a nice way to pass the time while you eat.

Was hungry for some BBQ and came to SLO which has many choices. I have been by this restaurant many times but never tried it until today and it was great. You order at the counter, unless eating in the bar, then find a seat. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor eating space. I had the rib meal which... More
