I had hoped for better food after reading the other reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the paella that I ordered. It seemed as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The chicken pieces were very dry, and some of the seafood seemed to be frozen and then thrown into the mix of rice... More

First time visitor and our lunch/food was very good. Small Thai tofu salad ($8) and Seared Tuna Spinach salad ($15). Took a while to be seated (servers, etc would look at us standing there but no one offered to seat us for a while). When we were seated, the server put the menus down on the table and said, "Go... We had dinner here tonight and loved the Mediterranean platter appetizer and the paella! So many great items on the menu. Our daughter had the Japanese noodle miso soup dish (like pho) which was tasty and our other daughter had the chicken tacos which she liked. We also had the ahi appetizer - loved the sauce, but the ahi was... More

We have a meal here every time we go to SLO. Never been disappointed with either breakfast or lunch. Such interesting options even for vegetarians.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice meal and were happy with the menu. Both of us enjoyed our meals. I can't give them 5 stars because it had something missing that I can't put my finger on. It might be that the waiter was attentive yet seemed a little unsure of himself.

We walked here from our motel & sat at a table inside but at the open air window. The server was pleasant & very helpful. I ordered the blueberry pancakes which were wonderful. My husband had eggs toast bacon...all very good!

Crab cakes, ahi, scallops perfect! Great staff, clean and comfortable. Lots of wine by the glass. Really great place to visit.

We were staying in San Luis Obispo for one night and asked our hotel 'concierge' to recommend a local restaurant. After clarifying what we were looking for he actually recommended three restaurants, amongst them the Big Sky Cafe which he described as specialising in a combination of modern American/ Mediterranean/Asian cuisine. Both the description and the recommendation were spot on.... More

This might be the best restaurant in San Louis Obispo; it is certainly the best value. While the ambiance is casual - no table clothes, no reservations - the food and the service are excellent. Like several of the better restaurants in SLO the food is an eclectic mix of ethnic influences, frequently with several in the same dish. Unlike... More
