Welcome to Palazzo Giuseppe’s, downtown San Luis Obispo! Our Italian regional specialties are indicative to the Pugliese region in Italy, particularly Bari, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea from which most of our recipes originate. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate our great loyalty to the distinctive dishes, all of which we prepare with genuine and natural ingredients and methods. Our bread is baked from scratch every day in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy. Each loaf is made by hand, allowed to rise four times and slow-cooked to achieve the truly rustic appearance and taste you would find in a Baresi seaside village. DiFronzo is dedicated to producing & growing as many heirloom, organic vegetables, & fruits from his family farm as possible. Gelato, pizzas, & specialties including his estate grown Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, & Syrah. All of this takes time but to us it is an art and a labor of love. We are truly committed to bringing you "cucina genuina."

The bread was delicious once you get the extra hard ends off. The caprese salad was stacked with delicious flavors of basil, mozza, and balsamic vinegrette. Pure deliciousness. The lamb lollipops were nice and tender with just the right spices. You really can't go wrong here!

We started with happy hour in the bar. Very nice atmosphere, good service, and good snacks. We've had the bar menu food before and its excellent, especially the kobe burger. Tonight we both enjoyed Fruite de mare over linguine and shared a misto dinner salad. This was very good meal for both of us. We'll definitely be back!

Just a little place that was quite busy on a Saturday night. Even though it was busy, they had the crew to handle it. We had two apps, the beef carpaccio and the beet carpaccio. My wife said the the beet was the best thing she had all weekend. We then shared a pizza. Our server was attentive without hovering.... More

I have eaten here before with a group but this time I was dining 'solo' so I sat at the bar. It was quiet, but then again it was a Tuesday evening. The bartender recommended the zuppa di bruddo. It was sweet potato/turnip soup with a broth. It was quite tasty! I also ordered the mista salad and added grilled... More

Our hotel, Avila La Fonda, recommended this Italian restaurant in downtown SLO. We shared steak carpaccio, bruscetta caprese and a gourmet sausage pizza. Everything was delicious and the service was very good. The small plates and pizza were good value ($23 pp with tip) and the place had a nice vibe, located right in the heart of downtown.

Having just arrived in town and stumbled on this place. Had a nice meal, with nice service and nice wine. The fresh bread and garlic dip was very good too - could have just kept eating that and skipped by the main meal! Service was not rushed but just right giving time to enjoy the food.

The owner does not care about customer satisfaction and about making things right! I have never known a business owner that wouldn't make things right when employees were at fault, the food was terrible and when they ruined an entire dinner party! Lastly, they appear to prey on tourists not returning or being at a disadvantage to revealing how they... More

We stopped in Giuseppe's as we were traveling south to share a meal with our granddaughter attending Cal Poly. Our friends, who are locals, joined us and took us there. We were seated right away and the food was very good. Our server was friendly and helpful even though she was very busy. I had the special menu of the... More

We stopped at the Palazzo Gueseppe restaurant to ask for directions - we were looking for another restaurant in the area. But the very friendly (and confident) manager at the front assured us that this is where we wanted to eat - and she was RIGHT! The food was outstanding. We started out with the brussel sprout salad - what... More
