Welcome to Palazzo Giuseppe’s, downtown San Luis Obispo!

Our Italian regional specialties are indicative to the Pugliese region in Italy, particularly Bari, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea from which most of our recipes originate. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate our great loyalty to the distinctive dishes, all of which we prepare with genuine and natural ingredients and methods. Our bread is baked from scratch every day in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy. Each loaf is made by hand, allowed to rise four times and slow-cooked to achieve the truly rustic appearance and taste you would find in a Baresi seaside village.
DiFronzo is dedicated to producing & growing as many heirloom, organic vegetables, & fruits from his family farm as possible. Gelato, pizzas, & specialties including his estate grown Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, & Syrah. All of this takes time but to us it is an art and a labor of love. We are truly committed to bringing you "cucina genuina."

Very good food!

Went for restaurant month, with a 3 for 30 dollar special. All of the food was from their regular menu! Portions were good, and one of our group had the wine pairings, very good pairings. We ate here while visiting nephew in San Luis Obispo. Great location. The restaurant has outdoor or indoor dining and both areas have a lovely atmosphere. Everything we had was delicious, starting with the wonderful crusty bread and balsamic dip (made fresh daily by the waitstaff), to the chocolate gelato at the end of our meal. For lunch, I had... My husband and I dined here while staying in San Luis Obispo. Reservations are a must! We were greeted warmly when we arrived and seated promptly. Our waiter came soon after and was very friendly and attentive. The spaghetti and meatballs that my husband had were wonderful. I enjoyed the autumn harvest salad and eggplant parmesan immensely. We had a... More

This was our first time eating here and we enjoyed it. I'm gluten free and they had several good options, even pasta. I loved my caprese salad and my gluten free pasta with tomatoes and basil. It had a nice kick to it. When we come back to town we will go back.

After walking through the farmers market we found Giuseppe restaurant with great Italian food. The restaurant was full of customers and we were lucky to get seated in a timely fashion. A very good menu with lots of choices.

The restaurant offered gluten free pasta with shrimp and capers in a vodka cream sauce that was outstanding. Their house red wine was equally delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Great experience.

stayed at a hotel around Pismo Beach, but...to think about nice dining time, just headed to SLO. Besides the town is lovely, this restaurant really fullfilled my dinner...even made it more wonderful. Great location, easy to find...and in the downtown of SLO, the same side of B & N booktore, but another corner. I like the opened doors ...and just... More

We almost didn't stop here because we have been to their Pismo Beach location and weren't impressed. This place is completely different. Many interesting items on the menu plus so many daily specials that it was difficult to keep track of them. We were there for a quick dinner before theatre, so we limited ourselves to an appetizer, pasta, and... More

The Mrs. and I have been dining and imbibing here since before she was The Mrs. Selfishly, we are sad the location is moving just for the sake of our good memories, but in reality the place is looking a bit shabby, particularly in the bar. There have been ups and downs with the food and service over the 12+... More

Walked around SLO and couldn't find anything suitable. Saw this restaurant and fancied it. We ordered two pizzas - half each to share. The first mouthful I knew the restaurant must be owned by an Italian. I was right! Living in Europe we eat a lot of Pizza. I can tell you this is the best ever. Don't forget to... More
