Menu had many wonderful choices for vegetarians. My husband had a beet and faro vegie burger with aioli. It was delicious as was my vegetarian onion soup. Roasted Brussel sprouts unusually prepared with a blue cheese spread as well as a dusting of bacon. Nachos with beans and avocado also were well presented and prepared. Service was attentive and prompt.

Our dinners at Luna Red fell a little short of greatness but the ambiance — cozy, attractive and romantic — pulls this restaurant over the finish line for a 5 star rating in my book. My rainbow trout with quinoa and raisins was scrumptious. My wife enjoyed her ‘fatty pork short ribs’ over sweet potatoes but she thought it was a bit dry... More

We decided for a quick pause but finaly had dinner here. Happy hour menu has some great choices. Normal menu offers plenty of choice and some healthy / vegetarian / GF options. Nice atmosphere and good service as well!

Stop in when they have a jazz band. The music choice is great. It's not the cheapest place, but it is good. I had an entree and a nice dessert here. I really enjoyed all the food. It was sensational, and not as pretentious as I thought.

▪️Location: Creekside downtown. ▪️Parking: Public lot on nearby Palm St works. ▪️Style: Modern, stylish, with several separate rooms and outdoor patio areas. ▪️Food quality: Creative, fresh, well-presented and several healthier options. ▪️Service: Friendly, positive and efficient. ▪️Cost: Reasonable. ▪️Number of times there: Only two visits, (one lunch and one dinner) so our sample size is small. ▪️Recommendation: Yes, very much.

My wife and I were looking for something different on a shopping trip to SLO. We had been wanting to check Luna Red out. We were not disappointed, in fact Luna Red exceeded our expectations in most regards. We opted to do multiple small plates, and all were excellent. The Gambas Ajillo were awesome. Having traveled in Spain I have... More

We sat on the patio on a Sunday afternoon and had a couple of great bloody Mary's and some tasty dishes. The lamb sausage flatbread was delicious as was my husbands burger. Service was pretty slow but it was Sunday and we didn't really care about it too much. Next time we are in town we'll check it out again.
