My husband and I had a absolutely lovely lunch today at Luna Red, in San Luis Obispo. We live in Cambria (30 miles north) and have visited all of Robin Covey's restaurants, every one a success and with just cause. Luna Red is no exception and I'll have to say this was the best lunch I've had at any. We... More

Had a great brunch Saturday mid morning. We did not have to wait long for a table and you could tell our waiter loved his job. The food presentation was amazing and very delicious. A place we will dine again soon! We would like to go for happy hour and visit when they have live music.

My sister and I went to SLO for a sister's spa retreat. I read about Luna Red on the plane and since it is related to Novo, which I enjoyed the last time I visited SLO, we decided to try it. Tapas is just perfect for us, as vegetarians, who like to eat light, this was perfect. We had the... More

Sit at the bar and watch the preparation. The place allows you to select the cheeses you would like and the experience is fun for the palate and the soul. Have not tried from the regular menu, so only gave 4 stars. The dessert and cheese/meat appetizers and their preparation deserve 5 stars - and so do the drinks.

I suppose more of a bar than a restaurant. Waitress was excellent and made a great suggestion for wine which was superb - fighter pilot red. Tapas were nice if not a little small. The ribs and pork belly deserve special mention. Great for a snack or dinner. Think the price was reasonable too.

My cousin raved about this place when we were in town visiting, so we agreed to try it. The atmosphere is nice, vibrant, and fun. It can be a bit loud but not too bad. I like small plate type foods and the menu sounded terrific. Our group of 10 ordered a lot of different things to try. I shared... More
