Nourish your appetite with Luna Red’s tantalizing mix of tapas, European staples and global creations. From house-cured duck prosciutto and local goat cheese, to tapas that include such gems as stuffed piquillo peppers or arancini balls, served with local mushrooms, leeks and a tomato jam— and those are just the starter plates. For an entrée, you’ll have a hard time deciding—we offer dishes from around the world such as Portuguese seafood stew with housemade chorizo or Korean style short ribs with housemade kimchee. We have something for every discerning palate. Each selection combines a perfect balance of flavors and represents a kaleidoscope of cuisines. Warm yourself. Delight in luna red.

Nice ambience, food good, but too many items not everyone wants

We enjoy Luna, but don't go that often. The main problem is the small plates we would have to order everything, because there are too many things that some don't care for and it's expensive.

A big courtyard with options to eat in or outside. Located right of the river with large picture windows to enjoy the location. Service was quick and friendly and the dishes were well served and enjoyable.

We had a wonderful dinner last night ( 1/17/15 ) on "January Restaurant month special" x2 dinners for $ 40 each + beverage .. Our waiter was attentive food was very good and creative .. and came on time , all praises EXCEPT when I ask for bread , waiter let us know it was $ 3.00 extra I found... More

We took a friend here for his birthday. It was so loud that the five of us could not have a conversation. The food was fair and overpriced. It's a pretty restaurant, but I'd recommend maybe just going for drinks. Give dinner a miss.

We went for Happy Hour. Drink specials and Tapas plates for around $6! It was so fun. Something for everyone. My margarita was great and the plates kept coming! The menu has allergen listings for each plate so people who truly can't eat something for fear of being sick can enjoy a meal out. I loved it here and will... More

While visiting friends in near-by Pismo Beach they took us to Luna Red in San Luis Obispo. Had a great dinner. I had the baked clam pizza and enjoyed it very much. Not sure how it would be if you wanted a big dinner, but we enjoyed ours. Being December we ate inside but many folks seemed to like sitting... More

For years we've been looking for a restaurant that serves good tapas. Luna Red did everything perfectly the night we were there. It was hard to decide which tapas to choose because the menu was so interesting. We had six different ones, and each one was so delicious. The dinner selections on the menu looked very interesting too. Great drinks,... More

Came here and I wasn't feeling well so that probably didn't help. We were a party of 4 adults. We ordered 3 meals, 2 drinks and no dessert and the total was well over one hundred dollars. Wasn't particularly busy, the service was very slow. There are many other places to try out in SLO without spending the money here.

Great menu for light bites and good happy hour with fun band playing on outside patio. Excellent location next to the Mission in downtown San Luis Obispo.

My husband & I had a gift certificate to Luna. We hadn't eaten here since they moved from Monterey (we thought it was ok previously...nothing to write home about). We made a reservation & the hostess was pleasant. We were sat inside at a tiny, wobbly legged table (they tried to fix it twice to no avail), in a dark... More
