Great place for drinks

This is one of the best places to go on a Friday night after work. They have a huge outdoor seating area and a good ambiance. The drink menu is extensive and their whiskey/bourbon selection is actually not outrageously expensive compared to other downtown spots. The food is good but I wouldn't... read more

We went to Luna Red as in this place used to be an excellent restaurant called Cielo. We gave Luna Red a try by ordering some drinks and appetizers. When I ordered a blended Margarita I was told they didn't have a blender. I ordered it on the rocks, and couldn't take more than two sips out of it as... More

Large wine and beer list. Very eclectic list of appetizers. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Located in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. Live music most weekends.

Our dinner here was very enjoyable. The food was very interesting and tasty. A huge selection of tapas to please most anybody. However, in my opinion, the dishes were somewhat overpriced for what you get. Each tapa was between $10-18 and very small. I am all for small portions in a fine restaurant, but it seemed to me a bit... More

Outside during Concerts in the Plaza, inside at the bar on a quiet evening, or inside at a table the atmosphere and food are delicious.

I ate at Luna Red one evening with some work colleagues while in town for a conference. One of my colleagues had eaten there before and wanted to return. We had a great meal, all three of us. We enjoyed the outdoor patio which was fairly busy with other patrons; one person in our group was a bit cold so... More

My favorite restaurant in SLO! I love this place! Ate here twice in the past few days and wish I were staying long enough to do it again. Why? The patio is a beautiful place to eat, surrounded by plants and flowers and right next to the lovely Mission, food is excellent, featuring interesting pairings of flavors, they have a... More

We didn't eat here except for an excellent desert. However we did have a fantastic glass of local wine by the fire pit! The ambience was great and the wine fantastic! Next time we will eat here for sure!
