Came here and I wasn't feeling well so that probably didn't help. We were a party of 4 adults. We ordered 3 meals, 2 drinks and no dessert and the total was well over one hundred dollars. Wasn't particularly busy, the service was very slow. There are many other places to try out in SLO without spending the money here.

Great menu for light bites and good happy hour with fun band playing on outside patio. Excellent location next to the Mission in downtown San Luis Obispo.

My husband & I had a gift certificate to Luna. We hadn't eaten here since they moved from Monterey (we thought it was ok previously...nothing to write home about). We made a reservation & the hostess was pleasant. We were sat inside at a tiny, wobbly legged table (they tried to fix it twice to no avail), in a dark... More

I am in love with the surroundings, food and fun of Luna Red. This is our go to pick when in SLO. The Chef buys local produce, micro greens, seafood, and often prepares with a Brazilian type touch. We always seek out Delores, an impressive server. The entire staff seems to have top notch training.

We sat on the patio and enjoyed the shade, a great glass of sangria and wonderful calamari. I'm not sure what they do, but the best calamari ever! Staff was very friendly. Inside looked like a great atmosphere too.

The three of us had a very good experience at the Luna Red. The small plate concept they offer was just right for our needs. We could order lots of choices and all get a taste of some great selections. Our waiter had great suggestions and everything we tasted was wonderful. Given the seasonality of some of the small plates,... More

Restaurant was very busy due to Cal Poly's Parent Weekend. Though we didn't have a reservation, we had to wait no more than 30 minutes. Service was wonderful! Hostesses, and waiters worked very hard. We didn't have to wait long for our food either, and the presentation of the food was excellent!

The patio with umbrellas for shade was the perfect spot for our lunch. The food was fresh and favors sparkled. Location is easy to find although you have to look around for parking and hope you luck out or love to walk. The shops and people watching make even this enjoyable. The service at the restaurant was great. It seems... More

I admit that Happy Hour (all week long) is a good time to try the local flavors in $5 "tapas" (small dishes) and a fun place to people watch. My tastes for wine do not allow me to order the 'well' wine red, although it is pretty ok otherwise. However, if it's warm and beer is in good form, they... More

My second visit, and another excellent meal. Lots of good things to say about this place. Saturday night and no reservation either time. First time we got seated right away, second time we had to wait no more than 30 mins. Nice varied menu, Tapas with a nod to Mexicali. Great ceviche platter, lamb meatballs, wonderful tacos, heirloom tomatoes, braised... More
