Had a Christmas tea here. It was very pricey but charming house. They sat us at a terrible table when the place was empty, we were first to arrive that morning with reservations for two, and they said everything was already taken. Then I heard a couple wander in with no reservations and get a table much better than ours.... More

I went to Los Rios Tea house for the first time last weekend for a friend's baby shower. It is a beautiful place to have a girl's party. I didn't pay for my meal so I don't know how the value is but the tea was very good, the scones, whipped butter and homemade raspberry jam were amazing. Wasn't impressed... More

I can't see how anyone could rate this place below excellent! We came across this place by chance for my boyfriend's birthday; we were looking for a quick snack to tie us over before dinner. Since it was a weekday it wasn't too busy and we were seated outside because the weather was warm. Sitting on the deck makes for... More

I am a San Juan Capistrano local but I had never tried this place - due largely to its mixed reviews on Trip Advisor and other sites. However, as holiday season was approaching, I thought it would be nice to have tea with my daughter, sisters, sisters-in law, and nieces and I made a reservation for 12, two months in... More

The tea house is so fun! I have gone with my daughter and we enjoyed tea and lunch--salads, sandwiches and tea food available. I love Los Rios area.

I have been going there for 9 years. I love the place. Ask for Melissa, she is the best server. Lots of teas. Lots of amazing food. Ask for the back story about the place, it is cool if you like history.

Found a live snail in my salad! Server did not seem to care. Just said it happens with fresh garden food. I don't know how they could have missed a snail sitting on a pear slice on top of the salad.

This is a Tea House in all ways. It is an old Victorian manor that has been converted to a Tea House. You site at antique tables in what used to be a living room or bedroom. Victorian décor and lovely finger sandwiches. Have fun with your lady friends, dress up complete with your favorite Sunday bonnet and enjoy. Make... More

The Tea House on Los Rios had been recommended, so when a guest came in from out of town, I met her at the train station and we walked over lunch. What a delightful setting! We did not have a reservation and it was quite crowded on a Saturday afternoon. However, we waited just a few minutes, and a table... More

I went with a few friends and we weren't thrilled with our experience. We had a reservation and they wanted to put us outside( in December) and the hostess seemed upset that we wanted to sit inside. She was not too friendly. The services so slow and inattentive. We had to go get our bill, so we could leave. We... More
