First Time To San Juan Capistrano

On August 3, 2013 in our rented car my wife and I drove to San Juan Capistrano to visit the old historical mission. We came from Newport Beach and did not have breakfast; we walked up on this beautiful outdoor restaurant with all kind of hanging plants from the ceiling. What a wonderful find: We... read more

My friends and I met there for lunch. We had salads. Service was good. The salads were just average. I have to eat gluten-free and they really did not have any good options for that.

Well worth a lunch stop between LA and Sand Diego. Nice menu, decent, albeit limited, wine list. The food is good with large portions well presented. Servers are attentive and friendly. However, it is the pleasant patio that the the great draw!

I like sitting on the bar side and ordering their popcorn shrimp and potato skins. They make real good drinks too, Their salads are delicious and very good dessert too.

Had a great time with some friends from out of town. This USA nice neighborhood and the place is a walking distance from the train stop. Plenty of parking in the back and friendly service. Bar service was very good as well.

We met local friends here as we were driving through, and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely spot on the spacious outdoor patio, with all tables covered with umbrellas. The lunch menu is great, with selections from all corners of the palate -- sandwiches, burgers, salads. Plus they allowed us to sit and talk for a while without... More

Saw the reviews on TripAdvisor and had to check it out. Definitely not overrated. The food, service and outdoor patio make this a great choice while visiting the mission. Went for lunch and the salads and sandwiches were all exceptional. The Marcy's Devine Salad and ultimate BLT were fav's. Service was friendly and efficient (and he was in training!). Note:... More

The menu and food was really good. The out door setting is a fun place to share a meal. We had dinner with friends and spent the time enjoying the outdoors and cool evening.

We made a reservation in advance. We got perfect patio seating near the fireplace and waterfalls. Everyone in our party loved their entrees and appetizers. Highlights: cedar plank roasted salmon, calamari, shrimp stir fry, turkey brie sandwich, the house margaritas, and the fruit dessert-peaches on a walnut crust. The food was fresh and delicious, service was excellent, and the ambiance... More
