Great food in a lovely environment

My family live in San Diego and I live in Los Angeles and we always meet at this place for lunch. Food is really good, staff are very friendly. Get a seat outside which is a lovely setting for a typical Southern Californian sunny afternoon.

We used to eat at the now closed Palm Springs location. Happy to find it here, bonus! Had a delicious lunch in the patio with a view of the Mission across the street. The patio is beautiful and food as good as we remembered. Their BLT has Mozzarella cheese, Caligula and a kind

First Saturday night in San Juan Capistrano, looking for good restaurant and happened on Cedar Creek Inn. Parked on the street just outside the walled courtyard. Walked into crowded courtyard with a guitarist playing wonderful background music. The hostess seated us immediately, but waited a little while for service. The waitress did come and we ordered wine and our meal... More

We LOVE this place! It has an amazing patio under a 100 year old tree! The food is great but the coconut cake will make you cry it's so good!

A group of seven of us ate there late afternoon on a Sunday. We sat on the patio-very pleasant day. The patio was bit noisy with the motorcycle traffic from the bar next door. We ordered and it took twenty five minutes for the entrees to arrive. The waiter mixed up the orders on two of the salads as to... More

Good place to meet friends for lunch. The food is slightly above average, but better than most restaurants in San Juan Capistrano and the prices are moderate. The large patio area with a fireplace is pleasant when the weather is nice, but could be greatly improved by reducing the number of tables and chairs. I have eaten at this restaurant... More

Nice place to eat. You can always count a good food, drinks and service. What more do you want? Little on the $ side, but sometimes it is great to splurge without the kids, or just lunch with your friends. The menu is a little gourmet, but not so much you need to google an ingredient. The flavors always seem... More

In for a lunch with friends... Sat inside due to the heat, but they have a beautiful patio, which is where you want to sit on the right day. Nice mid-day menu. We all had salads, all very good! The balance of the menu is probably as good as our salads were, because they were busy! Not much of a... More

Cedar Creek has a varied menu and serves drinks as well. The outdoor courtyard with trees is always a lovely and relaxing spot to eat. It is right across from the Mission in San Juan Capistrano

Typically, you don't order things like meatloaf on a menu--you never know what exactly is in it! But have no fear at Cedar Creek Inn. Their meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggie is absolutely perfect comfort food. It isn't the only great food item--I also love their Monte Cristo sandwich and their Italian chopped salad is also top-notch. Others in... More
