Lovely place

We visited this old "Santa Fe" train restaurant for lunch while waiting for our "Amtrak Train" and simply enjoyed our meal and it's ambiance. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Look forward to visiting this location again for dinner. Thank You for a lovely luncheon.

A bad experience from the moment we were seated. Poor service. Botched orders. Uninspired food. We live in the area and gave it a try. We will not be back.

the service is great. there are great selections of meat or fish. the pork chop is huge and cooked perfectly. the spinach salad is one of the best I have had. the desserts were awesome. this time we had the peanut butter Brule and the white choc mousse. drinks were very good too. this is pricey for sure. it was... My husband and I couldn't quite give this a 4. The steaks were good, but noticed later that evening how salty they were when I couldn't stop drinking water. The wine suggested by our waiter was a nice cabernet from Paso Robles, but when asking him to describe other items, he was less successful. He described the mushrooms as "woodsy"... More

we have eaten at his location before but it is now Vintage A Steakhouse so we gave it a try. The food was excellent. I would say they excel at steak. the filet melted in my mouth. one of the diners in the party had the salmon and reported it as excellent. the house special was halibut that was cooked... More

We stopped at the Vintage in San Juan Capistrano for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant is in an old railroad car and the décor is just that. Our server, Casey, was friendly and courteous. The wine and beer prices are reasonable and ours came promptly after we placed our order. My wife had a BLT and I had the Six... More

Located close to Sarducci's and the nice set up, it could be far better than what it is. Drinks are on a pricier side, food is so so, and service is iffy.

Visited the historic Los Rios district in San Juan Capistrano on a Saturday morning. We were looking for a nice place for breakfast. Spontaneously, were drawn to the Vintage train cars this restaurant resides in - not really knowing what to expect. Lovely place - beautifully restored pullman train cars converted to luxurious dining rooms. Service was excellent and the... More

We had the filet mignon; just about the best I have tasted. Good veggies and twice baked potatoes. One down side; pretty pricey. $39.95. We did have a $20 groupon coupon. Salad not included.

It is a steakhouse .. and the steaks are damn good ! Let's just stop at that ... Well, to be fair and objective, let's review the whole picture --- Interesting location (trains zoom close by and you can feel them !). Setting -- You may call it quaint, a bit too dated for my taste. Good wine selection, typical... More
