Wonderful little shop

I love almond poppy seed muffins but they are difficult to find. This bakery had almond poppy seed bread! It was delicious!

This bakery located in a historic building on 3rd Street has delicious pastries and sweet breads. The place was crowded and it took awhile to be waited on.

The Bakery has been at that location since before I was born in 1949. Growing up it was the town bakery and over the years has been an outstanding business. Currently the present owners offer more variety of breads than in back the 1950s. They make great apricot pie and the other bakery items are tasty. When I visit family... More

After a long day of browsing the stores and shops, this was a welcomed break. The bakery items are delicious and their 3 cookies for a dollar is a great deal.

I would have rated this 3.5 if possible: 4 for atmosphere and service, 3 for taste and selection. They specialize in breads, so don't expect to find a lot of fancy, high-end pastries here. But the staff is friendly and it's a fun place to visit if you want to feel like you've stepped back in time. Selection is somewhat... More

So glad to have our bakery. The French and Sourdough breeds are simply the best. You have to get there early because they do run out. My son loves the guava turnovers. A definite stop when heading through San Jaun Bautista.

This place is what community bakeries used to be like. Display cases full of baked treats. Pastries in a wraparound glass case and loaf after loaf of breads and brownies line the walls.

The San Juan Bakery is know for it's donuts, pastries and Mexican pastries. fresh loaves of bread and cream filled donut holes (our kids favorite). The donut holes are TEXAS sized and filled with a custard filling.

They even have a few gluten free items. Everything is made fresh daily and well worth the stop. The employees are friendly. The pastries are out of this world good.

We purchased a chocolate loaf and a cinnamon loaf. The chocolate loaf was probably the best of its kind that we have eaten.....BUT, the cinnamon loaf was dry and tasteless....it seemed to be stale, but in any case it was poor...we had to throw it our after tasting it. The staff is lovely and other choices are probably excellent, as... More
