Good food, nice ambiance

The food was great. Ambiance was great. Make sure to ask separate plates for food if you dont like to share the same plate. Long waits over the weekend.

I had the vegetarian platter. Food was pretty Bland. This was my first attempt with with Euthopian food , it was nice to try something different but didn't like the food. Too bland with no spices

We ordered de vegetarian and meat menus. Both of them delicious. You eat them with your hands which makes it a interesting experience. The baklava is the best I have ever tried! The only thing I think was not worth it is the Ethiopian wine.

A great find ! Worthy of the high reports here. Would absolutely return with friends, it"s got a laid back style where you can enjoy yourself.

The food is great, tasty and special. The restaurant is very authentic. However, I did not like it that there is no option to reserve seats ahead. any time. Also, the stuff is very kind, but not that much helpful. Just getting the bill takes 10 minutes. Every Time I come it takes hours, since the place is that busy.... More

No silverware needed, instead you grab your food with a milleniums old recipe of injera which is a spongy bread that's sort of between a pancake and a tortilla. The food is a little spicy, but not an overwhelming heat. When it does get to be a bit much the injera takes care of it. Everything is served family style,... More

This is the first time I tried Ethiopian food and so I can't compare with others. However, the food was pretty good and definitely worth trying. The Samboosa appetizer was really good. We were a table of 12 and we ordered 4 veggie+meat combos. That was easily enough food for all of us, with a little left over. The service... More

even though this place has only 50 reviews so far, we all agree that it's exceptional. You can choose standard seating or traditional with lower tables, avoid the far end of the traditional as sometimes they play annoying music there. We had the mixed vegetarian and mixed meat, probably the minced meat was the best, very unique taste and spices.... More

my wife and I have tried several of the Ethiopian restaurants around San Jose. So far this one is the one we like the best.

Loved the food, the decor, the whole ambience and the courtesy of the entire crew. Usually I do not go back to the same outlet. But I went back to Zeni in my 2nd visit to the bay area for the experience and the great food that they have to offer.
