First off- this was originally filed under the wrong reviewer account. SO i am repeating it here and cancelling the other - you may see two identical ones for a time. This is a hard one to review because the restaurant doesn't achieve the pretentiousness of a 1 star michelin wanna be , but it... read more

This is a hard one to review because the restaurant doesn't achieve the pretentiousness of a 1 star michelin wanna be , but it does rise above the regular every day Greek restaurants in the area in the adventuresomeness of its menu. It tries some things that may or may not meet with your palate, but are definitely a step... More

We have been visiting Santana Row the housing shopping complex in San Jose. It is a very well done micro experience of great stores, restaurants and attractive apartments and town houses. So far of all the restaurants we have been to in the area we have had the best culinary experience at Thea Mediterranean. It is Greek cuisine delicious and... More

A large group of us recently enjoyed a pleasant business dinner at Thea. The staff was very friendly, attentive throughout the evening, and made helpful recommendations for meal selections. The food was quite good and flavorful as you'd expect for Med food. The restaurant is a bit noisy when crowded, so not exactly a place for a quiet meal for... More

I don't know who they have at the pass checking the food before it goes out, but they're NOT doing the job of checking the orders before being served. We ordered spanikopita, came out cold, took it back, came out luke warm. Ordered rack of lamb, "medium" came out raw. The only dish served hot was the saganaki but that... More

Food was pretty good, but a little overpriced. We started with the Saganaki, which was yummy, but $12 for a small piece of flaming cheese? The salmon, wrapped in phyllo dough, was delicious, as was the lamb kabob. However. We would have enjoyed ourselves even more if the music in the background was actually Greek, or at least Mediterranean, can't... More

We went here with a group of friends and we were not impressed. The room could be nice but they had live music which was a lady pretty much screaming into a microphone. She did not need the mic in that room at all. We all had headaches by the end of our meal. Service was slow! We waited ages... More

We had dinner at Thea Mediterranean Cuisine following a movie at the theatre immediately adjacent. The ambience is rather cavernous and moderately unattractive but the food was good. My wife enjoyed the daily fish which she described as among the best fish dishes she has had. My half chicken was not as hot as it should have been but otherwise... More

It was my birthday and we decided to take a decent meal at this place. Was thoroughly disappointed with quality of food. We had Falafal with hummus, Greek Godess, Pesto, Vegetable Moussaka but neither taste nor presentation of food was up to the mark. Service was very casual. A very disappointing experience.
