Visited twice, enjoyed it both times

I gotta say, the place has fish down pat. I had dinner twice with relatives while visiting San Jose. We sat in the bar area (at a high top) once, and sat outside the other time. The drinks were good but the fish was excellent. Service was above average. I can see why my brother and sister in... read more

Having eaten at two decent Fish Market locations (Santa Clara and Palo Alto) many years ago,It is hard to find the right words to define this one venue. This restaurant, like the other ones pride itself of serving the freshest fish available. Unlike the other ones, ambient, hostess, server and frequentation are totally unimpressive rather than barely adequate. Yesterday we... More

You will find a plethora of seafood, sushi and great asian cuisine in this area, that unless you have to oblige with your boss or client request, do yourself a favour and keep walking.

The food is outstanding at The Fish Market. It is always crowded but worth the wait. The clam chowder and sourdough bread is the best in town.

Last day lunch at the end of a family holiday and I'm glad that my aunt pointed me to this place. The restaurant is not intimidating and the staff is friendly and helpful. Daily menu changes depending on the catch. I had the grilled sea bass with au gratin potatoes and veggies and my aunt the mixed fish and chips,... More

So many choices that are all so good and fresh. I had the swordfish tacos. My mom had sole. The flavored were great. And it was fresh, fresh, fresh.

We stopped here to see what assortment of fresh seafood they have. Found out that The Fish Market has lots of fresh cut fish fillets, oysters, and crabs. It looked so good we stayed for some fish tacos. We ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and they were a little spicy but really good. We would return.

The food was average compared to other places we visited. I did not feel the meal was worth the price. However, the place was fairly busy and had a very family friendly feel. Downside, we are from the Midwest and love seafood, part of the reason we visited this particular place, but when I asked for a recommendation from our... More

Went EARLY on a Friday, before rush hour. Sat at the bar and the gal who made our drink took our order, prior to the end of her shift. I watched her tell the other bartender she had put in our order, she came and told us and was very nice. After she left, it all went to the dogs..... More
