Average, overpriced hotel steakhouse

I work at a local tech company that provides us with Passport Unlimited cards. These PU cards give us buy one entree, get the second complimentary of the restaurant at select restaurants and this is one of the restaurants. Without that deal, I would have felt worse about the experience... read more

My father and I had a great experience at Spencer's. Even though we were in WrestleMania attire, we felt welcomed and comfortable in the bar area. The food and service were excellent. My rib eye steak was cooked to perfection and was paired well with asparagus spears & creamed spinach . Their bartender, Andrea, was very helpful and kept our... More

My boyfriend searches for aged steaks and we were not disappointed! The staff was amazing, the steak was to die for and the sides which consisted of hash browns, spinach and carrots were delicious! The restaurant was definitely fine dining and you almost forgot you were in San Jose!

I've got a big steak (Porter) which was fairly good, but way less tasty that several similar steaks I had elsewhere in the world (Texas- Tuscany- Brasil). The price, on the other hand, was insane: 90$ for a steak, a glass of wine and an ice cream. Of course they take advantage of the fact that there is not a... More

Not too many places to eat around the Doubletree ..so I tried the overpriced hotel steak house. What an idiot I am...commited to the bread and water before looking at prices. I fooled them...did not fall for the bottled water trick. Hello $37 pork chop! Portion sizes were very good...shoulbe ordered just one side...too much food for me. Well presented... More

Wasn't up for a big meal and so I slid in to the bar - had a great soup and then a decent beet salad - nothing special but the price was right

Convenient if you are staying at the Doubletree. Good Ambience. Good food but somewhat expensive. Limited wine list.

Between facility visits on a business trip we stopped in for lunch even though we had checked out of the Doubletree that morning. We needed a hearty lunch since we had our flight home during the dinner hour. I wasn't expecting much from a hotel steakhouse but the food here is really good. We had the Steakhouse Bleu Cheese (they... More

Just another overpriced hotel restaurant. ambiance is very business person oriented with prices reflective of clients with corporate credit cards. There were so many servers it felt like left didn't know what right was doing.food was adequately tasty but nothing imaginative. I think they were trying very hard to please, but it came off as amateurish. Just happened to be... More

Went for a celebratory business lunch, and as there were 8 of we were given a semi-private table sectioned off from the main restaurant by floor to ceiling curtains The food was excellent, cooked to order and waiting time was pretty ok. Compared to other steak houses, the prices are very reasonable and they validate your parking :-) definitely worth... More
