We split the calamari appetizer - served with a light vinaigrette and unique garnishes, including feta cheese, briny Spanish olives, shaved radish, cucumber, red onion and radish sprouts. Our server was Tommy. He was marvelous. Gracious, attentive, and made our evening special. We were there on A Friday so we were able to take advantage of the dinner special, a fixed menu of Salad, Filet, Lobster tail, and Crème Brûlée. The food could not have been more perfectly prepared, nor more graciously served. It was definitely one of... More

Very good place to eat in the area of San Jose/Santa Clara. We shared the Calamari starter and I had the Ribeye which was excellent. The sides wee also very good, particularly the creamed spinach and the brussels sprouts. We were a party if eight and it went off very well. Would definitely put it on my list when I... More

A really good restaurant housed in an otherwise mediocre Doubletree Hotel. I only had a main course but the filet with bacon and blue cheese was excellent. Very prompt and efficient service, good cocktails. Well worth a visit

I was at the DoubleTree for a convention, and sat in the lounge of this restaurant for lunch. I expected high prices & typical Hilton food, which is not so great. I was pleasantly surprised on both fronts. I had fish tacos, which had excellent fresh halibut in them, with a side of spicy tomatillo sauce. I was stuffed. The... More

The risotto was the only dish that I liked - but it was really good. The staff and the waiters were courteous as well. Went here just for one time as there are far better restaurants within 15 minutes away from the hotel.

Had dinner here as I am staying in the hotel. It looks like a steakhouse, it has great service, beautiful fireplace, seating is comfortable but food is average. Started with the seared Ahi tuna. It as served too cold, with a cumin dry rub that was overpowering on a bed of tasteless soba noodles. I thought I would make it... More

My father and I had a great experience at Spencer's. Even though we were in WrestleMania attire, we felt welcomed and comfortable in the bar area. The food and service were excellent. My rib eye steak was cooked to perfection and was paired well with asparagus spears & creamed spinach . Their bartender, Andrea, was very helpful and kept our... More

My boyfriend searches for aged steaks and we were not disappointed! The staff was amazing, the steak was to die for and the sides which consisted of hash browns, spinach and carrots were delicious! The restaurant was definitely fine dining and you almost forgot you were in San Jose!

I've got a big steak (Porter) which was fairly good, but way less tasty that several similar steaks I had elsewhere in the world (Texas- Tuscany- Brasil). The price, on the other hand, was insane: 90$ for a steak, a glass of wine and an ice cream. Of course they take advantage of the fact that there is not a... More
