This place has some funky interior, but it's always packed - because the food is legit! Big portions, tons of great combo meals so you can try different dishes. Call ahead because lines for tables can get long. Service needs to improve - some unfriendly faces from the waiters.

This is an excellent mexican restaurant. They have killer salsa and chips. The main thing to order is the Super Chavelis. It's a shot of tequila, a shot of Citrus and 1 and 1/2 beer ( Mordelo Dark or Light) in a frosty Scooner! There is a 3 drink maximum! The tacos and burritos a la carte are Awesome. The... More

I met a friend here who lives in the neighborhood. It is in a strip mall beside a dry cleaner. There is parking out front, however, there was a long line of people waiting so the parking was tight. I had a meat taco (only one as I was not hungry) and a Super Margarita (the "jumbo" size). Both were... More

I recommend this place. Don't expect complex ingredients or preparation. Don't demand fawning service. Go and eat, go and relax, go and enjoy yourself. It is not complicated.

We went there with my family, the food was good except the nacos (not so good). They can do better with service...

....now that we are 600 miles away. The chile rellenos are the best I will ever have, and when they still served soup...mmmmmmm. It can be loud and you may have to wait, and I was sad to read that they don't allow you to have a glass of wine or a beer while waiting ( it made it much... More

By far, the best Mexican food in San Jose. The chimichanga is my favorite along with an ice cold super chaveles. Careful with the margaritas-- very good but very strong.

Whenever my husband and I crave Mexican cuisine, we go to Tlaquepague! We are fortunate to live close by to 2 out of the 3 restaurants. We usually go to the one off Willow St--if you are not there early enough, there is a bit of a wait. No matter! Even the chips and salsa are worth it! My favorites... More

This is a family run place with outstanding Mexican food. The service isn't the best, but the food is worth it. The specialty drink, Chevalis, will make you want to come back for more.

Food is mediocre, chavelas are good. Service is slow, unattentive, at times rude. Lincoln is not as bad as the location on Willow St.
