Delicious

We arrived around 8 on a holiday weekend without a reservation, so we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The wait was with it! The atmosphere was vibrant and the food tasty. I have been to Cuba several times, but hidden on a side road in San Jose, California, is this restaurant with the best food I have been able to wrap my lips around. Fantastic is all that I can say. Start with a Cuba Libre. Order and eat t the Empanada and the Masta appetizers. Main course? Try the Lechon... More

Found this restaurant by accident and what a delight it was! Exceptional Cuban food that is completely authentic and flavorful. We enjoyed the pork with congri (rice & black beans) and the tostones were pure Cuban at its best. The meal was ample and we decided to leave, go visit a local rose garden and then return to the Habana... More

Service was friendly and excellent. The plantain appetizer was very good, and went well with the Sangria. We got the seafood Paella for 2. It is not what you would expect with a Spanish Paella, No crusty bottom, or any veggies. It was saffron rice with a good amount seafood (fish, shrimp, crab and clams) all mixed in

We had a nice dinner out at Habana Cuba. We were seated on the 2nd floor, which meant that our wonderful server, had to walk up and down the stairs to take our order and deliver our dinner. She did it all with a smile and was very nice so she deserves excellent rating in terms of service. My husband... More

The white rice, beans, and fried plantains are always good. Pollo en fricase, ropa vieja, fish, and shrimps are good choices. I don't care for their arroz con gandules, pork, or tamales. The yuca frita is pretty good.

My hubby and I ate here awhile back and after reading the reviews, decided on the Lechon a la Cubana, the slow roasted pork dish that comes with black beans, plantains, and choice of chicken soup or salad. We loved it. This time though, since I no longer eat pork, decided on the Camarones Al Ajillo, prawns sauteed in garlic... More

I went for dessert after having dinner somewhere local with some coworkers. We didn't call in a reservation since we didn't plan on going for dinner and had to wait quite a bit to get seated. After getting seated we narrowed in on the restaurants dessert list and saw the Tres Leches, but to our dissapointment they were out. We... More

This is traditional Cuban food…no frills or flare, just good tasting food. We've been here a lot…it's our favorite Cuban restaurant in the area. Everything we've ever had has been very tasty…whether it's an appetizer, a traditional Cuban Sandwich, pork, chicken or beef dish. The portions are ample and it's all easy to share if you want to try more... More

I can't understand how anyone could trash this great restaurant. The food is completely authentic (I know!), delicious, plentiful and at prices that are a gift. I recently took a friend who travels frequently to Cuba. He was skeptical, but when the meal came he said, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but this food is better than in Havana."... More
