We went to La Foret for our wedding anniversary, and had a pleasant evening. We found the setting delightful (although our GPS had a bit of trouble getting there from Gilroy!), and the service was excellent - attentive without being over-anxious. My absolute favorite! La Foret is tucked away in a creek side setting in southern Almaden Valley (SJ). The menu is eclectic with wild game choices as well as continental fare. Service is comfortable and impeccable, not stuffy... very professional and gracious. This is a great place for weekend brunch! more

Took my parents there for lunch on Sunday. The surrounding made this place stand out. It's not as flashy or uncomfortable like a lot of the fufu French places. The service was nice. Our waitress seemed like a new hire, but she was pleasant without being too annoying. Although she could've smiled a bit more. =) The food was nothing... more
