Had a very nice dinner here recently. The mild green curry was deliciously spicy. The basil beef and chicken with vegetables were considerably milder but still good. The portions were generous and priced well. Also the chai tea was excellent. The decor is very old school Asian and comfortable.

The House of Siam serves good and cheap food close to the Tech Museum of Innovation and the San Jose Museum of Art. All we eat was tasty, the spring rolls, the pork red curry, the Chicken Pad Kee Maw, and we paid 27$ for 2.

Had dinner here with family and sat at the low tables with pits. The service was very good, but the biggest bonus was the food. We enjoy Thai food, but theirs was exceptional. Great quantity, fresh off the grill, and we loved sharing the different dishes we ordered. Can't wait to come back the next time we visit San Jose.

Service was excellent, the food very good and the decor interesting. The low tables have pits beneath so you sit on a standard chair - seems to defeat the purpose !! We ate quite late 21:00 and felt hurried out at the end of the meal by the whole staff family sitting down with bags, coats etc obviously ready to... More

Although I cannot comment about the actual venue and wait service (we ordered takeout for 9 people), I can say that the food was very delicious. It was really hard to make a selection while I was browsing through the menu because everything was described so deliciously. We ordered several different items, eggplant house special, honey chicken, panang curry, pad... More

Ate here last weekend for dinner with a group. Very comfortable atmosphere and nicely decorated without being pretentious. Never having been there before the access was a little tricky for me. They have underground parking and you have to turn into the driveway before you see the restaurant. Be aware! I am vegetarian so I ordered Tofu with Cashew Nut.... More

Had lunch at the House of Siam and sampled a variety of foods. Everything was excellent, in particular the Pad Thai. Must try Laab, Tum Yum, and Roti. The Thai Iced Tea was very good. If you like spicy order hot!

I went there for lunch and was absolutely happy with the quality and the service. They offer a great selection ofauthentic Thai food. For lunch each entree is accompanied by a a small salad and a soup. The interior of the restaurant is typical Thai style and the staff very friendly. Overall, an excellent choice for lunch.

My husband and I live downtown and decided to try here because we like Thai food and saw the good reviews. I knew it was a wrong choice when I entered and saw the three filthy trashcans set next to the bar. The furniture was covered with dirty throws and the carpeting looked like it had never been cleaned. They... More
