Fantastic Food, Can't Wait to Visit Again

We got in here late one night but the staff was accomodating just as if we had not walked in 20 minutes before closing. Saw the reviews and had to try it. I had the turkey dinner and it was a bountiful serving of turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes. My wife and daughter also had the turkey dinner... read more

I love this place. Good food and relaxing atmosphere. We have been going here for years for lunch or dinner. A big selection and everyone can get what they want. It is not fancy and you have get in line and order but worth the effort. A very good price range for everyone.

My organization decided to try this place for our monthly dinner meeting. We had to stay in line way to long. The food isn't as good as everyone has mentioned. Then you end up paying separate for alot of items making your bill alot higher then you anticipated. The room we had was not separate enough from the other part... More

Not my style, but my 70 year old Dad loves this place. Very turkey leg, meatloaf, and potatoes kind of spot. I don't care for the cafeteria style buffet line. Stick to the staple American entrees because they are average and edible. I tried the enchiladas once and could not eat them. I have been here for lunch, dinner, and... More

This is one of my favorite places to eat. It has a very casual atmosphere - and you have to go through a line cafeteria style, but they have the line move so fast and the food is out of this world. I also order my Turkey from them each Christmas and it is always so juicy and good. You... More

For those of you born after 1960, this place will give you the feel of what life was like back in the 50's. But decor be damned, the food is plentiful, reasonable, and the taste is better than you could hope for. For a really good experience, try to go during off-hours, as the line can get pretty long during... More

We were here for a company dinner for about 40 people. The staff handled our large group very professionally and our event went smoothly. We had a great dinner. I loved the atmosphere, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the food was very yummy. I eat gluten-free and I had plenty of choices of foods to choose from. I... More

Fast friendly service most of the time, except when the line stretches out to the door. Although they have lots of choices to choose from, I always get the open face turkey dish with stuffing. Fresh carved turkey, stuffing (or mashed potatoes) covered with gravy is my favorite.

The best Hofrau ever! Love the Turkey dinner. Going this week with an out of town friend. She's been thinking about it for weeks! Generous portions, can't beat the price.

I grew up on the peninsula so used to go to Harry's in Redwood City several times a week. After moving to the South Bay, the Saratoga Ave branch was more convenient and we ate there a few times a month for about a dozen years or so. Harry's is just consistently good, and a good value. I try and... More
