We took my father-in-law to this restaurant for his 94th birthday. There were 15 of us. Although the restaurant is small, our table was ready when we arrived. Our orders were taken quickly and the food arrived in a timely manner. The food was so fresh and so good! My father-in-law ate his entire meal which he rarely does. I... More

Having read about an accordion player playing Italian music we decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at Paesano's but didn't realize there was a game or some other event close by at SAP center that evening. As we had made our reservations, we got past the crowd waiting to get in and were quickly seated. Our waiter was pleasant enough... More

Very tasty and delicious food with a good variety. Good service in a very nice setting. One big problem was the noise from a neighboring table. Highly recommended otherwise. Outdoor seating available with outdoor heater (would have been better for us).

Paesano is a nice little restaurant in the newly designated Little Italy area of San Jose. The food is good. However, the portions are quite small. I ordered the veal parmigiana which was good, but hardly worth the price. The restaurant is located in a newly refurbished old house, and is quite noisy because there is no sound absorbing material... More

The menu was filled with great Italian dishes that all sounded good. We have the Berra special appetizer which was fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, tomatoes on a bed of arugula. Then the main dish we had was the lamb. It was done very well. It was a little spicy and buttery with good flavor. For dessert we had tiramisu that was... More

Went to meet a long time friend. Service (Les) was just super. Always on-hand / nearby, without being intrusive. Portions were just right, not those huge gotta take doggie bag type most places serve. Nice wine / beer inventories, just sorry no liquor license. Parking across street in shared lots, keeps cars off street yet close by.

We had a great time here. It is located in the historical Italian neighborhood in San Jose and is located in a renovated house. The interior was clean and had old family photos on the walls which was fun. We had the the Fritto di calamari and a ceasar salad for appetizers. These were okay but not the stars. For... More

This was one of the most delicious and authentic Italian meals I have had! Closest to what I remember my grandmother serving. Because the ristorante is in a converted older home, it especially felt like being in someone's home or kitchen which added to the down-home feel of the cooking. Our meal began with antipasto plates and bread. Just delicious!... More

Our friends introduced us to this place last sunday. We were there for dinner and our first reaction was of a small homey but formal place. We saw this place when ever we drove around Julian street but never had a chance to venture in. It was a good experience though felt the environment formal. Our server was very chatty... More
