We are a very casual BBQ "joint" in the traditional sense. The focus is on the food. Slow smoked meats, homemade sides, rubs, sauces and desserts. Friendly service, at home feel. Excellent beer and wine lists (no kidding). Live or recorded Blues all the time. Genuine Southern BBQ.

A very typical one for real people

A very nice discovery. An authentic place where local hungry people are going. The Menu is limited but dramatically well executed. This is the place to go if you have not been eating for a week or if you just want to enjoy an authentic place. Thank you !

Everything was Awesome here! Wolf turds are smokie and spicy and delicious. I could give suggestions but everything here is great. If you like BBQ you will not be disappointed. We found parking across the street because the lot beside the restaurant was full.

I travel the world eating BBQ, and I love nothing more than a dive with great sauce, great meat and a vibe. This place has a good sauce, sometimes they have your meat choice, and it's about as moody as a place can get. It's a forced dive BBQ vibe, with bored college students checking their phones, and you have a feeling... More

We were craving bbq and this place really delivered. We ate the brisket and chicken. My mother had ribs and all were excellent. Corn muffins were awesome! Mac and cheese was homemade, cobbler was really scrumptious. Did not like the potato salad as u am not a huge mustard fan. My baby loved the chicken and ate it all!

Visiting in the area from Georgia and this BBQ was great! Also had gluten free offerings for my daughter. Lots of locals, so you know it's good.

burnt ends are the bomb... make sure you take your medication before going here... lol jokes. Service could've been better. We got there 40 minutes before closing and the waiter was already giving us a long list of what they have run out on, Including the burnt ends (which is part of meat that is fatty, and burnt, doused in... 1. Service - Ok 2. Food - Better than we expected. We ordered combination plate to share between the two of us, which contained: a. 2 Pork Spareribs - Excellent. Very tendered and had all the tastes in the meat b. 4 slides of Beef Briskets - Great taste c. 1/4 Chicken - No taste of the BBQ. It flavor... More

I make a routine stop at Smoking Pig BBQ when I travel to San Jose every few months for business. It's not far from the airport and worth a special trip. The pulled pork comes on a cookie sheet-like tray which allows you to spread out. I like their standard sauce, but can't get enough of the Carolina spicy mustard... More

If you have a hankering for BBQ then this is an ok place to go. The downsides are: smallish portions, dry almost flavorless chicken, dull BBQ sauce, ok looking restaurant but dingy broken down bathroom, slowish service. Some good things: good fatty brisket (not so much the dry brisket), great BBQ beans, good (but small) cornbread, great spare ribs. Overall... More
