Firehouse No. 1 Bar & Grill is a outstanding San Jose destination when you're looking for great food, delicious drinks, and friendly people. Gastro pub quality fare made from scratch in addition to impressive daily specials. A vast and well stocked bar that includes hand crafted cocktails in addition to draft and bottle beers, and select wines. Be sure to participate in the occasional whole bar sing-alongs, or cheer the bartenders on as they prepare exotic flaming drinks and smash bottles behind the bar. Lots of LCD screens when there is a sporting event or Sharks game - or just digital flames all around late at night. Open from 11AM until 2AM weekdays with happy hour from 3pm to 7pm. On weekends, open from 4PM until 2AM. We have full table service both inside and on the patio. Patio heaters when its cold.

Dropped in on a business lunch. San Pedro Square is kinda of a nice trendy spot in San Jose -- much like Restaurant Row, Anytown USA. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to this place at the start of the lunch hour (or to) -- greeted by the manager and immediately sat down and briefed on today's special.... More

Firehouse No. 1 was not bad. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere was a tad noisy but that comes with the territory, I guess. The food pretty expensive. I had the cheeseburger and salad and it was fine, but at $14.50 for a cheeseburger it should be more than fine. Our son had the cheeseburger and fries and they... More

Was wandering around San Pedro square area and had not read any of the Firehouse 1 reviews. Looked at the menu at patio stand and decide it was worth stopping here. WOW! Am I glad I did! Best steak salad I ever had! Roasted broccolini and roasted corn bed with fingerling potatoes that were pan fried to perfection...topped with the... More

We had a great meal here. I went with 6 colleagues and no one rated anything below excellent. From the angry prawns to the wings, pork chops, fish, pork belly and even the fries were delicious. Our waiter Raag was entertaining, friendly and an all around excellent host!

We visited Firehouse No. 1 last Thursday. My wife, two daughters and I had never been, but read the reviews and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Raag was our server/expert advisor on all things Firehouse No. 1. He gave us a detailed but quick overview from the cocktails/beers to appetizers to full entrees. He knew... More

Not bad, but service is really slow and disorganized. Seems a little overrated given all the positive reviews.

Great and diverse menu with an awesome server (who is also, sometimes, the Chef. Dined with a colleague and we both really enjoyed the meal. CA version of shrimp and grits was awesome - just the right amount of spice. Fabulous heirloom and marinated mozzarella salad. Colleague had bone marrow - which he enjoyed - and Indian inspired chicken wings... More
