Firehouse No. 1 Bar & Grill is a outstanding San Jose destination when you're looking for great food, delicious drinks, and friendly people. Gastro pub quality fare made from scratch in addition to impressive daily specials. A vast and well stocked bar that includes hand crafted cocktails in addition to draft and bottle beers, and select wines. Be sure to participate in the occasional whole bar sing-alongs, or cheer the bartenders on as they prepare exotic flaming drinks and smash bottles behind the bar. Okay

The atmosphere at this restaurant was great. The food was okay, and same with the drinks. The waiter was hilarious and made the whole experience. I went with a large group, and it was hard for them to accommodate us with order accuracy.

A nice "gastropubby" place around the corner from my hotel (the De Anza). I was quite surprised at the number of different eateries in this area that from the general appearances seems like a wasteland. I kind of stumbled into this little place by accident and was pleased with my choice. A high-quality burger is what I wanted and it... More

The food was great, we had the angry prawns over polenta and a cheeseburger. Cocktails left a lot to be desired. Hard to get in so be sure to make a reservation.

It is a very rare occasion that Tripadvisor get a rating so completely wrong! Firehouse No.1 has to be one of the worst eatery's I have been to for quite sone time. The service was snail pace, 2 of the 5 main dishes were sold out, the steak had more fat and gristle in it than steak, the restrooms were... More

The pork belly sliders were delicious and a nice introduction to brussel sprouts. A very easy walk from the SAP center or convenient public parking with restaurant validation. Service was great and enjoyable atmosphere for conversation and relaxation.

Located in the heart of the San Pedro. Small on the outside but definitely fills the space and patrons well. Host, wait, and bar staff are prompt with friendly acknowledgement. Service is offered efficiently from orders to delivery. Food comes out hot and extremely efficiently. Wait for food was rare. Portion sizes are filling and flavorful. Good rotating craft beer... I think they are trying but they have a ways to go. Cool pub ambiance with a very nice outdoor seating area. Decent service with friendly staff. I order a beer. They don't have it. I order a wine. They don't have it. I order a main. They don't have it. After the second occurrence I get concerned about how... More

Super friendly staff , a very diverse menu with an array of choices to please everyone. We started with a selection of beers and Hot Brie with apricot preserve along with the smoked meat plate . Dinner was great and not rushed . Will be returning again soon

Stopped in for an early dinner. Good but not huge selection of beer. The beer menu hits all the major points, from Pilsners to Stouts. They seem to push the cocktail menu pretty hard, but didn't try any of those. Got some wings and mac and cheese. Both were outstanding. The use a Mediterranean spice rub on the wings and... More
