Great Food & Service!

We had dinner at Firehouse No.1 yesterday. Dinner choices were the pork chop and the cod. Both were delicious. Others in the restaurant were also raving about the pork chop! Food was cooked perfectly with great flavors. The cod had a chimichurri sauce on it that gave it a nice balance of... read more

Nice casual atmosphere with a very large bar in the middle. Lots of great beer selection. Not too pricey and good selection of pub style food. Good serving sizes I had pork shoulder.

We loved it so much we went twice in one day! The first time we had some light apps and drinks, and just went back for drinks later. Loved the atmosphere of it, and love San Pedro square!

This is a cute little gastropub in the heart of downtown San Jose. Love that there are a few outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Food is definitely good and interesting (not your typical British pub fare) - more creative California gastropub - but the service was really awkward. Our server was pretty clueless, and it was frustrating. Despite asking several... More

Stopped in for a quick bite around dinner time. Good selection of craft beers on tap and bottles. I had the pork belly small plate and it very tasty. The citrus glaze went great with the saltiness of the pork. Very flavorful and tasty. I also tried the home-made chips they were made very well. Excellent crispness with a dip... More

Great service, even better food: fabulous salads for starters, some bacon mac and cheese, and of course a steak! Don't leave it out when in San Jose.

We stopped at Firehouse for a few drinks! The drinks are amazing! Don't be fooled by the small glass some of the drinks come in. I'm here to tell you, looks are deceiving especially for the Blood Orange Manhattan. Can't wait to go back and try their food and other tasty drinks!

The food was good, and fun was had by all! We sat on the patio and the food was excellent. We started with some appetizers and worked our way through dinner and dessert. It was a wonderful evening to sit outside and leisurely talk and eat and eat some more. I only wish we lived closer, we would definitely frequent... More

Having moved here recently, we're still checking out the many restaurants in San Jose, looking for a new favorite place. Depending on the neighborhood, there are usually some excellent choices, especially downtown San Jose and near San Pedro Square. We've visited Firehouse No. 1 Gastropub several times and it's quickly becoming a preferred pick. Each time we've visited the Firehouse,... More
