Stopped in for an early dinner. Good but not huge selection of beer. The beer menu hits all the major points, from Pilsners to Stouts. They seem to push the cocktail menu pretty hard, but didn't try any of those. Got some wings and mac and cheese. Both were outstanding. The use a Mediterranean spice rub on the wings and... More

I have been impressed by the quality of the food you can get here, it really lives up being called a gastropub. Add a good selection of craft beer to your food pairing and you get a meal that has kept me coming back.

I did not like this place one bit and i hate how much the prices are. One thing though, sitting outside was a great experience. I tried to order the drinks and they were as bad as it gets especially the cosmo cocktail....Not the best... About the food, it was great so i cannot complain. The location is also excellent,... Had to try the GastroPub for a second time to ensure it wasn't a fluke. Beet tartare and their scrumptuous wings and our son had a steak. Normally, I don't order wings, but these were tossed in a coriander/chipotle seasoning -- not greasy or overly sauced. We had to order a second appetizer! The service was excellent, attentive and clever.... More

Firehouse No. 1 is among several restaurants and bars on San Pedro, most of which have seating on the sidewalk. Firehouse stands out because of their outstanding food. The menu is quite limited but the gourmet dishes are delicious. I had the flat iron steak that had an outstanding sauce. The shoestring potatoes were also very good. My wife had... More

Chicken breast seasoned to perfection. Recommended by our server and she was correct. I started with the shoestring fries for a appetizer. Don't know what the mayo dipping sauce was but it made for a great new taste treat! Love the outside seating. Friendly staff.

Small menu, but don't let that dissuade you. The food is awesome and very well prepared. Also there are meals that you wouldn't expect as bar fare lie bone marrow. Great beer selection too and the waiters are always willing to make recommendations or give you samples of what they have on tap. Close to the SAS Center so great... More

Had some American friends flying in from Mexico to get married and we were driving down from Piedmont to join them. Since they were being married by County Clerk in middle of day after having just flown in, we wanted to taken them for celebratory meal afterward, which meant middle of the afternoon. Searched web for San Jose restaurant that... More

I have visited this bar a few times now, first time I had a bone-in ribeye (very large thick cut) with a side of their brussel sprouts. Very good. The second I came to try the pork-belly sliders, but alas, they were out of them. So I went with their flank steak and again the brussel sprouts (yes I have... More
