Burnt almond cake to die for!

I have gotten this cake for my birthday since 1982 and it is consistently the best. Old school good service and excellence- it's hard to keep that up for over 30 years. Thank you!

Been going here for years for only one thing, the burnt almond cake. There are different flavors and you can't go wrong with any one. I also buy the special "day old" burnt almond cake for $8-$9 and taste even better the next day kind of thing.

Best burnt almond cake ever! Have to go back to try the pumpkin burnt almond. Dicks's is the sister Bakery to Peter's Bakery in east San Jose. I grew up on Peter's Bakery. Old fashion goodness

They make good donuts. A great place to stop on the way to work and pick up a dozen for a meeting. No place to sit and eat, just grab and go.

They have without a doubt the BEST burnt almond cake in the world. My Grandmother use to take me here when I was still a bambino. We would get one cake along with a few of the chocolate eclairs, every time!!

I grew up in San Jose, CA and Dick's Bakery was the only place we got our Cakes. My favorite was the Burnt Almond Cake. I requested it for every special occasion and even some not special ones. The cake is so moist it melts in your mouth. The frosting with the toasted almonds has you liking your fork and... More

For over 34 years I've been a fan of Dick's. brownies and pies are my favorite. Ive been a part of the family for 29 years, Clarence and Dick were artist, they baked from their heart. The Burnt Almond cake is a standard favorite for all events. I cannot recall an event where a pie, cake or any baked good... More

Great old time bakery that has been around forever. Known for their Burnt Almond Cake, but just about everything is good here!
